Hi Blazer Fans,

I'd just like to say that I am very humbled and appreciative of this article. All that I've done in the past five years is a testament to the great support I have received for UAB athletics as a whole. Through great coaching, athletic training, and administrative support, my career as an NCAA athlete has been an incredible experience that I wouldn't trade for the world. I am SO thankful for all that has transpired throughout my time at UAB, and would like to acknowledge that very little of it was because of me alone.

Very little of what goes in to winning championships is shown in the competitions themselves. The "behind the scenes" practices, weight room sessions, meetings, study groups, rehab, and long hours on the track (for us anyway) are where success is fostered. These things would not occur without the facilities, and facilitators to make them happen. When we excel, we are a product of our positive environment at UAB.

As my collegiate career comes to a close, I am realizing more and more of how truly amazing being a part of UAB Athletics is. I forever be a Blazer :).
