Well right now it looks like the LCB well stick around, and possibly move to Comerica Park, while the Lions try and start up another bowl. So there could be 2 bowls in Detroit. But i find it hard to imagine second bowl will be certified in Detroit, when bowls in LA and Orlando have recently been denied.
I don't expect the Little Caesar's Bowl to be moved anywhere but to extinction. However, they will still have to find bowl eligible teams to fill the slots.

I hope the MACC is moved onto the home campus of the best team.

It's cold in the Midwest in December. Let's keep it inside.

Cold....it's brutal outside in December. Attendance would be awful.
Hate losing the bowl affiliation. That's too bad.
This is nothing more than an attempt by the Big10 to oust another mid major from a bowl game because they don't want any of their member schools losing to a MAC team. They would prefer to have no qualification for the bowl rather than play and lose to a MAC school. Therefore, to ensure they get as many teams as possible in a bowl game, the next option is to only schedule their member schools to play against a lowly finisher from another BCS school. It's pathetic.
Pure greed.

Yep. The P5 conferences would rather make another buck or 2, and ruin college football, rather than keep making what they're making and keep CFB competitive and fair.
I agree with everyone. Every MAC fan needs to stop buying Big Ten Stuff and attending Big Ten Events.

College football is so dysfunctional. It's too bad, it has a lot going for it otherwise, in terms of entertainment. But it's like Stalin running your local club - after a while it's not so fun anymore....

agreed. the big 10 banded together decades ago, pooled resources, money, time, effort and now look how far they've come.

theres enough MAC graduates to get some wheels turning in getting the conference where it needs to be

with Al Capone the VP of operations. It's bad enough they want to build a monopoly, but they have to cheat on top of it.
Actually... i think this is a VERY GOOD thing!!! ever since the inception of this game with the winning team going to detroit... they always seem to play the suckiest of the sucky teams... which, doesn't lend crediance to the champion of the MAC... last year was extremely impressive with all the MAC schools playing in the bowl games...

but, in respect to affilliation... it makes my head spin.. so, the new bowl will be big ten vs acc? isn't the big ten now 14? didn't maryland used to be in the mac and now in the "new" big ten *14*
Simple question. Wasn't the LCB (Motor City Bowl) created to give the MAC a guaranteed bowl game?

This is the one bowl game that was very well attended, and Toledo made money on.

This is too bad IMO.

F**k the P1G. They realized that they were (finally) going to have to send a team to the LCB every year, since they expanded to 14 teams. So they didn't want to play the MAC because they didn't want an average P1G team to lose to the MAC, so they get another bowl started.

Screw the P1G. The MAC needs to get out of Detroit. Move the MACC game.
I think you hit the nail on the head, MGB.
tons of places to play the MAC title game indoors and possibly a bowl game. silverdome comes to mind. palace of auburn hills
