Here is what I sent this AM. I even got the requisite form letter: "Thank you for your continued support of......" F#ck off.
Congratulations. It has been 15 hours since the Selection Show and we are still playing "Where's Waldo" with the leader of the University of Cincinnati Athletics Department.
It is simply beyond comprehension that you failed to make a single appearance in any media format supporting this team. The bunker mentality continues. You failed to show any leadership abilities in the face of yesterday's travesty. Bob Goin would have demanded an explanation. He would have fought for these kids in the court of public opinion. Appearently, you were too busy or just plain did not care. It did not go unnoticed.
The coaching staff and the young men on this team have represented the university impeccably on and off the court all season. At minimum, they deserve the public support of their Athletic Director. Failing that, you continue to earn a vote of no confidence from the folks who are your paying customers. Shame on you.
I fear that your hire is not part of the solution.
