Yet another woeful offensive game so far against a southpaw pitcher...and yet another sixth inning meltdown, compounded by 2-run error on what should have been an inning-ending double play ball. Some things just don't change.
As Tiki has pointed out, we just don't seem to have the same caliber of teams as we had three or more years ago.

The way Schoenrock is pitching, two runs may well be sufficient for Memphis.

Did not help that two of our first baserunners were either picked off or CS. I am following on GT, so it does not provide the best of details.
2-1 now Memphis. Rattarree drives in a run in the bottom of the 6th with two outs.
Who was the error on with the missed double play?

E-6 on the throw, after getting the out at 2B. Bases loaded, one out at the time, and both the runners on 2B and 3B scored on the throw.
I like FBO's mantra - Just an easy win.
A ton of awful ABs today. No patience whatsoever by anyone in the lineup.
Walk their lead off batter in the eighth. That is five walks. Our pitchers have been walking a lot of batters lately.
And now we issue a leadoff walk. I cannot remember a Rice pitching staff that has allowed as many freebies as this one. It's been quite some time...and what hurts, is it's occurring with our best pitchers.

All season; not just lately.
It's a WALKATHON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Remember how comfortable you felt (as least I felt) whenever CSC came in. I knew who would shut the opponents down.
And we give them yet another unearned run on what should have been an inning-ending ground out. Geez.

Our infield defense has really let us down the past 3 - 4 weeks. Big time....and every one has contributed, including catcher.

Having a walkathon puts pressure on the defenders, which tends to promote errors.
First walk by Schoenrock all game, versus something like six by us.
And once again we fail to move the leadoff runner into scoring position. I'm just amazed at how poor a sac bunt success rate we have as opposed to the teams we play (who almost always successfully get the bunt down)....and that inability to get the bunt down just cost us a run as Byrd singles.
Need Stringer to come through big here.
