George Mason had been playing an 18-game conference schedule in the CAA and the change to 16 next year gives them more non-conference opportunities. This will also include that final game in the prior series with Rhode Island. Last season, the A-10′s new members VCU and Butler had non-conference strength of schedule ratings of 45 and 48 respectively. As a whole the conference had a very strong non-conference schedule in their league profile and George Mason will be expected to help keep things that way.
