That station started out as a good idea and then they decided to become JOX.
I had no idea they'd paired them. Or did they cancel two shows?
I think it is/was one show. It isn't the first time that pair has been together on a show that was canceled.

If it wasn't for Scarbinsky I don't think there would be any remote reason to listen to that channel.

I don't have that channel or Jox on any of my radio lists.
Coulter has had at least 5 or 6 canceled shows in the Birmingham market.
& he left a station supposedly because Finebaum was going to be on it only to return to another station that had Finebaum on it.
Never heard the show, but the combination of Coulter Sanderson makes me wonder why anyone thought that had a chance to be good.

As to Scarbinski, no reason to listen. He tweets everything said.
Things will stay in flux there until Finebaum settles somewhere. I hear the SEC network is after him although how well his schtick would work there is debatable.

Conference full of knuckle-draggers. Ought to fit right in.
Having Tammy on an official conference show? The rest of that cast of thousands of morons?

Represent the SEC!

Tim Melton and Max Howell supposedly resigned from doing "The 4th Quarter" show by choice. I never listened to Wimp and Coulter. Something really smells about the inner workings of that station. Damn shame, they had a good thing going at first, but one thing I've learned about local radio, they will dangle a carrot at your nose with material that will make you feel like a enfranchised listener for a short period of time, then snatch the carrot away once they've dug a foothold in ratings. The Zone won't be long for this world at the rate they're going either. They've become what they claim to hate in the beginning of their existence. Rachel got out when the getting was good, I hope she's flourishing in Atlanta. And I hope Tim lands on his feet at a sports station somewhere that will appreciate his passion and sincerity.

Once they got what they wanted, this is exactly what has taken place,
and once the Ultimate Sleaze comes in, icing on the cake.

And that's your opinion of someone who lives out of market and admits they never heard the show. Was it the best show ever? No. But of the three shows that were left it was the best the station had with great guests. (Bobby Knight doesn't just drop by the studio unannounced for many shows.)

Smashmouth is a lowest common denominator show hosted by a blowhard and a carpetbagger. The show was terrible in the morning and even worse in the half replayed afternoon show. It says something when the producer sits in for one of the hosts and makes the show 100 times better.

The Sports Czars show is like spending a week chained to a tree in the middle of the Troy campus.
The Czars were the sports Rick and Bubba.
Sucked.

Sanderson when being spontaneous, is capable of being interesting, but then he starts being "Sanderson the act" and becomes too strained at being what he thinks the character should be.

I wonder how well Finebaum will be able to recoup his standing after so long off the air?

When he has stuck to interviews of real sports figures, his show was entertaining. Then he would become the "Ringmaster" for his entourage of "call in" clowns who primarily talked about each other and sports "went out the window". They constantly vied to be the greatest Crimson Tide (or War Eagle) devotee since Harvey Updike and that got old quickly.

03-lmfao Me, too.
I enjoyed it when he lost the South Alabama prediction.
