Arkansas released some players from their scholarship and there is already speculation that at least a couple will move on to UAB or WKU. Particularly interesting is the QB Brandon Mitchell who both McGee and Petrino coached. I don't think we need him, but the DB and WR might be worth a look...

So Flynn might come here and win the job outright next season ? I'm guessing since the article didn't mention the other 2 guys would be eligible, that they will have to sit out a year.
WKU QB also announces he is leaving. Sounds like Hogs QB will end up at WKU.

I think Flynn will be a senior with 1 year left. He came in as a JUCO last year, I think, so he would have to sit out, too(I doubt he will graduate to be able to play next season).

The CBS article said he was on track to graduat this Spring. That was the only basis I had for the assumption.
I think they were talking about the QB, Mitchell...
Just like we are tired of hearing the local reporters ask McGee about what he thinks about Alabama or Arkansas, it is about time for us to stop assuming that every Arkansas transfer should come to UAB.

Certainly a one year player should not be considered an option here.

The Humphries situation was a little different. He had a father who lived in the state and his father has been associated with the basketball program.

Wrong and wrong.

So what about the QB, Mitchell ? Can he play a little safety ?

He's transferring because he wants to play QB. He played some WR last year to help the team, but thought, with a new coach,he could move back to QB.

My thinking on the QB situation is that we don't have a front runner for the job. So maybe we need a better QB.

I should have written it in blue. Sorry. I was trying to make light of my lack of reading comprehension.
IMO - if he comes, I'd say it'd be as a WR as we're pretty set for QB but I don't think we're hurting at WR much either.
I believe JP can win us 5 or 6 games. I believe AB can win us 5 or 6 games. I also believe that if a balance can be found between the two and the perfect switch can be made between the two guys they might be able to win us 8 or 9 games as a tandem. But neither of them are going to make us say "that is the next Jordan Rodgers" and much less so his big brother Aaron.
Yesterday, coach tweeted this:‏

@GarrickMcGee: Today was a great day for our Football program. Go Blazers

I'm wondering if the two are connected?
The best thing about the SEC Network is that you can now skip over SEC related stuff by excluding it from your favorite channels.

Yea, but he has never faced a defense in the $EC like he will in CUSA! 03-wink
CGM only recruited the 09-11 guys the QB Mitchell ,and the WR Minor I could see those two. The other two were 2012 guys that I doubt CGM was their recruiter.
I would guess the QB to WKU.
