He seems like a coach that is going make some serious noise. Is he really that good? Did USF get a major steal? It be good to have a conference with some good coaches.
Heard he makes good beans.
Shawn Taggart would probably start for USF if he was granted his Senior year of eligibility...

Willie Taggart
Skeptical of this hire. He took a 2-10 WKU to 7-5 which is commendable but the team did not improve any further in 2012.
I loved Dagny Taggart. She was one of Ayn Rand's objectivist heroines. Her brother James was an incompetent statist sellout!

Actually, he took over an 0-12 team that was absolutely THE WORST team in FBS by far. Turned that into back to back bowl eligible teams. And he did it by convincing Florida recruits to come up to play in Bowling Green Kentucky, for a horrible Sun Belt program.

He'll do great at USF.
Yeah, a lot of Louisville fans hoped to get Taggart if Strong bolted to UT. He's a great coach and very well respected in these parts.
As with everything... Time will tell.
I feel very good so far about it. We will find out soon enough.
I think you're better off going to the SBC or CUSA board and asking WKU fans. That being said, knowing how well he can recruit (being from Tampa) and how great of a coach he is (going to FAU, I witnessed WKU some damn fine teams the past couple years, including a win over in state rival Kentucky), I think this is a HUGE steal for USF.
Great hire Bulls! I think he'll put back on the track where Levitt left off.
Looking forward to coming back home to beat Taggart in two straight seasons 05-stirthepot

you should. He is what USF has been missing, A COACH. USF has tons of talent, which was never the problem. It's always been the Coaching , now they have fixed that problem. The new problem will be to keep him there in 2 or 3 years. ( SHOW ME THE MONEY )

He'll do great at USF...for 2 years, until he leaves for a better job.

Fixed

(Not meant to be militant, I just know that after 3 separate occurrences of the same exact thing, it's better to accept the fact now and ride the wave of good fortune for as far as it will take you. That way you won't be nearly as angry afterward.)
If he gets USF over the top and then leaves, we can deal with that. One thing though, is that he is from the area, so he may hesitate a little more before leaving.

That's how you've got to look at it...it made the BK years a lot easier for me. I bear no ill will towards him because he got us to two BCS bowls and won over 30 game in 3 years. The way he left definitely left something to be desired, but in all honesty, the accomplishments during his tenure at UC more than made up for the fact that he left.

Butch Jones...now that's a whole different story entirely.

Aren't you Mr Sunshine.....lol

I hear what you are saying but there is no sense worrying about what we can't control. If a SEC team making nearly $40-million year in TV money alone wants to hire any AAC coach, our $2-million/year TV contract is not going stop them. So I hope that CWT sticks around and is wildly successful but I can't worry about him leaving.
