These Marxist Libtards are all for controlling peoples lives.
(From our earlier report: Weinstein is the head of the Military Religious Freedom Foundation, and says Christians--including chaplains--sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ in the military are guilty of “treason,” and of committing an act of “spiritual rape” as serious a crime as “sexual assault.” He also asserted that Christians sharing their faith in the military are “enemies of the Constitution.”)

But you can be openly gay.....this is absolutely messed up and I'm an atheist. What's next, marriage since that usually has a religious overtone to it? And with all the praying they do along with all the "praise be allahs" I'm sure Muslims will get a free pass.

I'm sure the ACLU will be all over this.

Oh, and you should shorten the name of the this thread..I had to do that I order to respond.
So I assume you would all be fine if a Muslim were allowed to proselytize as well while in the military?

Do you even know what that means? It doesn't mean preaching to other christians.

And SMN, you can't seriously be that stupid. First, gay is not a religion and second, you honestly think if a gay person in the military started trying to convert other straight men to being gay in the middle of his unit (no pun intended) that he wouldn't be opening himself up to a possible court martial?

You guys really need to get over your idiotic ODS. It's quite sad.

P.S.: Does anyone have this supposed Pentagon statement linked anywhere? Excuse me if I don't take Breitbart, Infowars and Pajamas Media's word for it.

Come on bro, the second paragraph says Obamas minions meta with an anti-Christian extremist. Would they meet with an anti gay extremist? Anti Muslim extremist?

The pentagon is picking who can and cant offend others be it religion or sexuality.

Sometimes I get caught off guard by how insanely stupid RepubliCONs can get.
Repeatedly prothelizing those who do not want to be preached out is offensive and counts as harrasment for good reason. No member of the military should ever be allowed to prothelize to any person over whom they have control by virtue of being above them in the chain of command.
No benefit or access should be given to any religion over any other religion.
Under no circumstances should military assets be used for prothelization.
Chaplains should be willing to provide the same level of services to all members, including Gay service members. If you can't do the job for everyone, then get off the government payroll and get a real job.

I can't figure out if you're trolling or serious

Preach the Bible to the straights and gays alike? Sure, but you don't mean that.

Fighting fire with fire. There is no need to be nice to someone who writes "liberals are evil".
No, Christian Post, Mikey Weinstein Was Not Hired by the Pentagon

http://www.patheos.com/blogs/friendlyath...-pentagon/ Wrote:Here’s the truth: Government officials met with Mikey recently to hear about why officials who proselytized to their subordinates needed to be punished. That’s all. They listened to what he had to say. They didn’t even take any action on it — yet. But that got spun into how the Pentagon hired some anti-Christian hate group leader.

From Weinstein's own words...
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/michael-l-...72651.html Wrote:Neither MRFF nor any other genuine religious freedom organization of any repute has ever championed -- and never would champion -- that evangelical Christians, as a whole, should be ousted from the government or the military. We demand only that people of all faiths (or no faith) obey their solemnly sworn oath to the Constitution and follow the military's regulations regarding religion.

Chris Rodda: U.S. Soldiers Punished for Not Attending Christian Concert

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/chris-rodd...87051.html Wrote:Any doubt that this was an evangelical Christian event was cleared up by the Army post's newspaper, the Fort Eustis Wheel, which ran an article after the concert that began:

Quote:Following the Apostle Paul's message to the Ephesians in the Bible, Christian rock music's edgy, all-girl band BarlowGirl brought the armor of God to the warriors and families of Fort Eustis during another installment of the Commanding General's Spiritual Fitness Concert Series May 13 at Jacobs Theater.

The father of the three Barlow sisters who make up the band was also quoted in the article, saying, "We really believe that to be a Christian in today's world, you have to be a warrior, and we feel very blessed and privileged that God has given us the tool to deliver His message and arm His army."

The second paragraph from a far-right blog with an agenda. I wants facts sir.

And your google post is laughable, and frankly, beneath you. All those sites are far-right sites that link to the same stupid slanted breitbart article, which puts two snippets together from this supposed pentagon response. Don't you find it odd that they don't just print or link to the whole pentagon response in full context?
Boo hoo keep playing the victim card, it is hilarious.

Prove to me you are not evil.I say 54 million baby genocide proves you wrong.Support for so called assisted suicide for the elderly proves you wrong.Turning a blind eye to this Presidents illegal drone wars that have killed over 160 children, and the over 150 who died from Fast and Furious.
The theft of this Government stealing from those who achieve to give to those who are too stinking lazy to work. You people have no principles if you did the things you attacked that RINO Bush over unconstitutional wars, bailouts, excessive spending, drone killings etc you would be against MAObama because he is doing the same thing and more. Why don't you Libtards come out and say it you are all for Government control, murder, perversion, and theft of others. You are Evil and you are mad because it is true and you can't face it.

I will gladly come out and say that I am in total favor of the government controlling Liberty1959. He clearly needs some institutionalization. 03-lmfao

This guy is probably projecting his insecurities onto those he accuses of being liberal.

This guy is probably projecting his insecurities onto those he accuses of being liberal.

He's just another unsuspecting sap being used by the right-wing internet media machine to hate Obama and vote for any R. He sees an article with all the usual cattle calls and quickly runs here to post it up. Without even looking for actual credible evidence. He does no research on what the story is even about. He totally glosses over the fact that the story conveniently leaves out the most important component, the pentagon response, but instead takes their word for it from two small snippets clearly taken totally out of context yet laid back to back for the most desired effect. Without even thinking for one second as to why they did that.

Then when confronted with the evidence of the lack of the full pentagon response...and the fact that this meeting with this radical amounted to absolutely nothing...never returns to face the music.

But what's really sad is the other posters, who also do no research, still post away at how awful this is...as if it were fact.

It so follows the fox news format of how they get their liberal scare stories into the news as actual "news", that it's not even funny.

The only retraction you're ever likely to get will be one of...well it could happen...or we're not saying that it did...or we're just asking questions.

Again, it's really quite sad what they've become. It's clearly ODS at its core.
Like YOU do any research, Tom. You post stuff on here and make assertions and others knock down your silliness and show that what you asserted is not what your posted link even says.

Rinse and repeat, day after day. And still you persist. When called on it, your standard response is STFU.

I do lots of research skippy...so STFU...lol.

But go right ahead and defend Liberty here...oh wait...that's right...you can't can you...so...STFU 03-wink
