Every now and then in print I see "So'n'So at the University of Alabama" and it is almost always a UAB researcher. Who is the guy in charge of asking for the typo to be fixed in the web version or in next editions? It's a tiring and annoying job I'm sure (of which this is hopefully only a small part), but thank you for your work!

...seems like I remember a cool rant you had regarding how announcers used 'Alabama-Birmingham' all the time in lieu of 'UAB'... er, I could be wrong about that, tho... I think we ALL have ranted about that at one time or another...
Gotcha. It's entirely possible. I rant about a lot of things.

When I get my medical bills, I'm supposed to make my checks out to the University of Alabama Health Services Foundation.

Write small.
Write University of Alabama at Birmingham Health Services. I bet the check clears.
I was tempted to just write UAB and see what happened.
