I understand that this is his schtick but his editors are pathetic for letting the article start out "RATHOLE, TENN."

At some point he needs to grow up a little.
Even Clippers' fans acknowledge that Simers is a richardhead.
I sent him an email informing him that I will match his donation to St Jude's. Hopefully something good will emerge from his pointless, silly, and unprofessional spite.

Writing an article as a columnist, is one-half being a journalist and the other half being an entertainer to sell newspapers. TJ Simers does a good job of that, even if he is a blowhard. Even if I do not like most of the words that he types, I laugh at his buffoonish nature.
I was hoping that he was able to experience a tornado
Shame on the LA times for allowing the dateline "Rathole, TN". How does any newspaper allow something like that?

It's the LA Times, they have no standards.

They need readers...badly.

I don't see how denigrating a city 99% of their readership doesn't care about sells papers.

Simers writes articles like these all the time. It's ridiculous that people are taking them seriously
You do realize he's likely not upset. Just trolling for readership. And if he weren't adequate on a big city scale at what he does he'd be writing for a newspaper in the third or fourth biggest markets in America, not the second.

Best comeback? Ignoring him. Not a thread validating his trolling tactics.
Rathole, TN, haha. Yeah, that is trolling. I think I'm in the minority that gets a laugh out of it.

Because we're a red state?

Otter: "He can't do that to our pledges!"
Boone: "Yeah, only WE can do that to our pledges!"

Hope none of y'all are clicking on any of his article's links. All that does is further his cause.
