Well thought out as usual. Black is September when it's warm. Silver in November when it's cold.
I'd like to lodge a complaint that ther are faaaaaar too few complaints being voiced on this board. 03-shhhh
So, apparently they're trying to stripe the stadium for the Liberty game...

Does anyone else think that makes the Liberty game the one most likely televised?

Would make for an epic 'Where's Waldo" game though.
Other than the fact that the athletic department wants to generate t-shirt sales, why not just wear the school colors to each game???

Heaven forbid we wear the official ODU colors at an ODU game, so people will know who we are and where they are. Sit back and watch a college football game. You know you are watching OSU because of the sea of scarlett and silver, maze (yellow) and blue at UM, burgundy and orange at VT. You don't see them as members of the color of the week club.

While I am on my soap box athletics says it wants to create tradition for our football program, yet they come up with more contrived ideas every year which will not allow for a tradition to take hold. How about we pick team entrance music and stick with it ala, purple haze at ECU or Enter Sandman at VT? Those fans know something special is about to happen when they hear those songs. They don't change the team entry music every year.

Tradition comes with finding something that works and sticking with it year in and year out. I don't know maybe I am missing the point and that our tradition will be that we will not create any traditions. Other than its a "Virginia Lottery, first down"

Liberty will probably try to broadcast that themselves with their MASN deal if CUSA doesn't pick it up.

The only way striping will work is if they leave the shirts out on the seats
Who the hell wants to wear black in September?
Here I go again....why do we want to wear black at all? We're not Iowa, or VCU or Army...we're Big BLUE! Our official colors are silver, slate blue and light blue (accent).

As to the Stripe the Stadium...my guess is they'll announce color by section...Even numbered sections wear blue, Odd wear white or silver or some such combo.
I have a black jersey so I guess I'll just wear that. But man it gets hot... Maybe I'll try to bring back the cutoff jersey look?

Can't say this makes much sense. Heck, it's nothing but a ploy to see more merchandise in the bookstore. I ain't buying. I'll be there in ODU blue.

The Follett Corporation (bookstore operators) It's Parent's weekend so freshman will be able to bug their parents to buy them the shirt.

the blackout is the same weekend as UNH was last year, which had highs in the upper 80's. That will have to be a night game
Old people (grads) hate it.

Young kids (students) love it.
Hey, I only wear two colors. One white polo and one blue polo.

I do agree the different colors for different games is nothing more than a ploy for people to spend more money at the bookstore, and is a pure gimmick.

The nice thing about this year's home schedule, minus the lack of talent coming to Foreman Field will be most of the games should be 6 PM kickoffs, and hopefully the latest 3 PM kickoffs since most, if not all of the games will not be on TV so we can decide when the games will take place. Unlike last year where the Delaware, W&M, and Ga Southern games were all 12 PM kickoffs, which doesn't allow fans any time to sleep in before having to rise and shine to tailgate.

I hate having more than one 6PM kickoff. It's very exhausting and takes away the entire Saturday. I'm probably in the minority here, but I prefer noon kickoffs; nothing beats a good breakfast tailgate, a Monarch victory, and a nice afternoon to relax and enjoy the rest of the day.
I am not a fan of the early Saturday kickoff...my work schedule, being in retail, makes juggling my Saturday schedule for a noon game quite difficult.

I'm hoping we have two or three 6 PM kickoffs, and then the other three games have kickoff at 3 PM.
With our current weather patterns...noon kickoffs are brutal. I have a friend whose wife almost had heat stroke (I think the NH game) and then refused to come to any more non-6PM games.
