Looks like the Shockers came to play and are not intimidated by the Cards at all as they take a one point lead into halftime.

I love how the city schools in states dominated by "Big State U" are taking center stage this weekend.
Wow...I hope our presidents and Fox are watching this game.
I think Georgetown may have to take their medicine. WSU+Creighton and VCU+Georgetown just makes so much damn sense.
I really wish we'd pulled that game out. But there's no one that's going to watch that game and say that we didn't give Louisville more than they could handle. I'm so proud of this team across the board. Might have lost, but it took a career game for a bench player for the Cards that no one ever would have seen coming. We handled the best defense in the game and only started giving up TOs when our PG had to go to the bench with 4 fouls. Considering the way the final 8 minutes of that game was called, I wish we would have risked it ... they didn't call anything during that timeframe. Nearly Louisville's entire team was about to foul out with 10 minutes to go.

I'm disappointed, but as a basketball game ... what an amazing game.
Tough game, Shockers. I hope you guys get into the Big East! Hall is a BEAST! He's going to play in the NBA. One point of clarification though, Luke Hancock may be a bench player but it's really no surprise he's had a big game. He plays big minutes every time out and CBS's whole "first bench player since 1975 to score 20 pts" thing was really more of a technicality. These guys here can probably back me up on that. Luke plays a lot and is actually one of our team captains.

No doubt he's a great player, but that was a career game. I don't think you can honestly say that it's not a surprise. The only time in his career he's shot better than 20 points was in the 5OT game against Notre Dame, which is hardly comparable. A career game, 13 points over his season average, and a FG% of 67% compared to his season average of 42%, and 3pt% of 60% compared to season average of 38% ... those aren't "no big deal" stats. That's the game of his life on the biggest stage of his life.
I really really really really want Louisville to beat the crap out of Michigan. I don't even want this to be a close game.
