This news release really made me 'face palm' in embarrassment, and I'm a fan of a different school....

First they marked the official city as "DUNK CITY, Fla" to start the article. Not only that, it was an article on April 5th about Comer leading the A-Sun in assists.

#1 -- They've known he led the A-Sun in assists for weeks and could have published this a long time ago.

#2 -- They are clinging to the Dunk City/Sweet 16 excitement. Enfield broke their heart.

Can't say I blame them. Their run was historic for a 15 seed. The ASun office would be fools if they didn't pursue this on behalf of the whole conference.

Why not capitalize on "Dunk City" like Houston did with "Phi Slamma Jamma"? Season tickets will go up even without Enfield, and other ASun schools will likely get large crowds when FGCU visits next year.

Also feeds $3 million into the ASun over the next six years.
It just had a sad feel to it. An obvious reach well after the news was current. They should be proud and promote their success, don't get me wrong. I just think they're trying to push that "Enfield to USC" headline off the front page.
