Full Version: Great job, Dawgs

I know I've been hard on UGA to this point, but I still feel rightly so. Until Saturdays game no one knew that Georgia could beat LSU in that fashion. Great job Georgia. Now you have reason to talk. I'm still looking forward to this coming up weekend. Tennessee still has a chance to win, but just not as great. LOL. Maybe our freshmen QBs and other young players have learned a valuable lesson against Auburn that doesn't require a follow-up.

For the first time Greene looked like a leader. He threw very sharp and presise passes. His recievers held on also. The young running back shows promise, but is not quite there. The defense gave the offense more opprtunities too. Good luck next week.
Ok Vols_ShouldIShutUpNow. A few points of clarfication:

You've been hard on UGA? Don't break your arm patting yourself on the back. We're so sorry that we were such a bad team that you had to be hard on us.

Who are you talking about? UGA fans knew this. Fans from other teams that don't follow our program probably didn't know, but UGA fans knew. Who on earth are you talking about?
Quote: Now you have reason to talk
We have your permission now? Two SEC Championship games, one SEC title, two top 5 finishes in the last two years and now because we beat LSU, we have reason to talk?
Quote:Tennessee still has a chance to win, but just not as great
Now, that's more like it. Back down even before the game starts. That's what I like to see. A little kitten painted into a corner by a big bad Dawg. Start whimpering like a Tech fan.

There is always one sentence in all your rambling posts that don't make sense. I think this is the one in this post. No follow-up? What the heck does that mean? A good follow up would be not to get your a$$ handed to you next time on national TV.
Quote:For the first time Greene looked like a leader.
Have you followed any UGA football in the last 3 years? Apparently not. Greene does not have to look like a leader to UGA fans. He IS a leader.
Quote:Good luck next week.
Now you're wishing us good luck against your own team?

Look pal, if you truly came here to ruffle feathers you have not succeeded. What you have succeeded in doing is making a complete fool out of yourself. Think your posts through more clearly before posting them and perhaps UGA fans here will take you seriously. I still love your "SEC Top 5 Respect" theory. That was great. Oh, and when you come to a board to talk smack and get on people's nerves, don't announce that is why you're there. It only makes you look stupid when you haven't achieved your goals.
Well, he got on my nerves. I am glad that the home let's some vols on the computer.

Like I said, I doubt the charachter of yuk-t. Just look at Burnett's comments after the game.

I just hope the Dawgs don't take em too lightly--if they show up--the big orange gets juiced.
I'm just glad the Vol showed up. I have a little respect for him after that.

I just have to disagree with the "Greene finally looked like a leader comment". The guy has been a leader since he went into Knoxville in '01 and beat Tennessee on a last minute drive.
I meant that Greene finally looked like a leader for 60 minutes for the first time this season.

The follow-up comment means that I hope our young team does not require two games in a row to get the message in their heads.

If you haven't noticed yet I am a this year only type guy. LSU had the right to boast about a National title, but they are not the same team this year. Nebraska can boast a lot of things about their past, but they are not the same. I mean that this years UGA team now has something worth bragging about. A convincing win against at least a good LSU team.

And yes the Vols lost in a horrible way. But we averaged just as many yards rushing as Auburn did 3.5 yards per carry. 6 turnovers and horrible field position was the killer.

YouGeeAye (edited. Watch it, Vol), you should admit that your feathers are ruffled. Otherwise you would not take the time to make such comments to my thread.

I still think that we have the talent to beat Georgia. It's young talent and has shown it's faults, but I pick the Vols to win in Athens. Rememeber the Vols had a game to give to Auburn.

Top 5 comment still bothers you. Well Auburn is now sitting at #6. If UGA had lost to LSU, then Auburn would be in the top 5. There may be only a hand full of weeks in the history of the polls for the first 7-8 weeks where the SEC has not had a team in the top 5. And I would almost be certain that there is always a SEC team in the top 5 pre-season. Why? Respect!
Quote: I meant that Greene finally looked like a leader for 60 minutes for the first time this season
Uh, er what I meant to say is uh that Greene looked like a leader for the 60 minutes he was playing in the game that was played after the 60 minutes that was played before Greene was playing for 60 minutes and then after 60 minutes he was playing over there and after that he was a leader for 60 minutes before the score was over and then LSU went 60 minutes later and becamce a leader for those 60 minutes, uh...I think that's what I meant.

Quote:Rememeber the Vols had a game to give to Auburn
Now that almost tops your "Top 5 SEC Respect" comment. Can you imagine a UGA fan admitting after we lost a conference game that we actually had some margin where we could give up one SEC game?

My dad used to tell me that if my Aunt had b__s, she'd be my uncle. If UT had shown up Saturday night, and UGA had lost and USC folded their program and Texas lost and OK lost and, let's see, everybody in front of UT lost, and the season was over, then UT would be National Champs!
