Should C-USA go ahead and expand to 16 with two non-football members such as Wichita State and Saint Louis in order to beef up basketball? Two nice markets. I'm thinking it makes sense. Both schools could use the C-USA platform to add FBS football in the coming years if they so choose.
Saint Louis is going to the Big East.
I would prefer members that play football but if we could get two really good basketball schools I would be ok with that.

Hypothetically who could we realistically get though. I will sefer to MB on this one. Who would you go after if you were commish?
If Saint Louis is definitely going to the Big East then i suppose Wichita State and Virginia Commonwealth would be the two that are in decent markets and that would help C-USA basketball; one east and one west. And both might add FBS football in the future given C-USA membership.
What about VCU and Dayton?
Both Wichita State and Virginia Commonwealth basketball finished 26-8 not including the NCAA. Both have very good baseball programs, especially the Shockers. Wichita State would definitely have a sense of brotherhood with C-USA member Marshall. Not out of the question that one or both could have FBS football in the future.

Huh?
Football program plane crashes.
I guess we better invite Evansville too.

Nothing represents CUSA better than a plane crash. Maybe we can incorporate it into our logo.

Isn't there still speculation about Dayton going to the Big East, or did that die? I thought I remembered reading Dayton and St. Louis were going to be the next invites there, but I could be way off.
MB, your comment well taken. Forget the Wichita State/Marshall aspect of brotherhood experiences. It just popped in my mind when thinking about the Shockers possibly starting FBS football.
Didn't Vcu fight cusa in court over formation ?
I don't know that it went to court, but their beef was with the metro. VCU and Charlotte had left the SunBelt to go to the Metro when some Metro schools had left to the Great Midwest. When the Great Midwest and the Metro merged to form CUSA, somehow, VCU got left out in the cold.
VCU is pretty well set to dominate their league now. I'm not sure they'd want to move as things stand.

I'd prefer to wait and watch Conference WTF implode, then bodysnatch them.
It will be fun to watch. WTF was that? LOL
Well we can't root for failure now. It would be rooting for the American to fail.

Regarding the WTF Conference, it will definitely be known as the AAC and not the American Athletic. And double AA, as in AAC, does not roll off your toungue like ACC or C-USA, or SEC for that matter. And the American Athletic sounds more like a sports gear brand.
