Wow. Less than half the attendance than we had at our home game against NDSU in the first round. I gotta believe that WMU would have had a decent turnout (3K+) for a home game in the championship series.

Gotta win to get to that Championship game.
Yeah, it looked quite empty at Santa Clara. I'm betting that GMU will have a much bigger crowd tonight.

After watching Santa Clara, it's doubtful in my mind that had we beaten GMU, we would have won at Santa Clara, either. That's a pretty good team. We'll see how GMU does at home.

Raymond Cowels the III was a hot and heavy target of the Hawkster. Chose the Cali Browncows instead.
Have to admit that I was hoping for a Broncos vs Broncos matchup, though. Would have been fun to hear the broadcasters work with that one.
GMU won last night 73 - 66. SC didn't shoot well, at all but made a run at them late. Watched it play out and GMU played much better than in game one.

I really feel that WMU could have been in this championship if our bigs had showed up and the team played up to its potential. They had a bad game for whatever reason, but they could certainly compete with either of these teams especially at home court.

Oh, well! On to another season with new expectations.
Game II was a do or die game for GMU and just under 1600 packed the place.

In the CIT championship E. Carolina traveled to Utah to play Dick Motta's old program of Weber State where just shy of 10,600 showed up. EC pulled it out by 3 with Weber State going 9-19 from the charity stripe.

Love that fan support

Perhaps you did not read the article or see the broadcast. The attendance of 1600 was only because the game could NOT be played in the Patriot center, which seats nearly 10K. It was already booked for some other event. They played the game in the rec center gym - home to their volleyball team and wrestling team. The place only holds 1600 packed in. They had no choice.

Check it out tonight for the deciding game 3 at the Patriot Center. I'm betting there will be a much better crowd there tonight, as there are more seats.

Really?

Wow. I was getting a little depressed thinking how the "mighty had fallen" in 7 years since the Final Four.

I hope the place is packed and Rockin. Go Broncos!
