USC seems a bit of a stretch IMO and it is hard to believe they are willing to pay him $2M. My guess is he applied and got an interview but he is one of many candidates. Good on him if he gets it, but he will have to decide if waiting it out to see if he gets an offer is worth the risk in letting ODU go. We need to give him a COB deadline tomorrow and be on the phone with Toole at the same time. Apparently Siena has interviews scheduled Tuesday so we can afford to wait 1 more day.
I said in a previous post that Toole was at siena on Thurs or Fri.
Better have Capel as a backup option, because this process has the potential to become a monumental disaster.

Yes, that is well known.
$2mm at USC translate to only roughly $875k after the federal and California state, county and municipal taxes are deducted.
If it can be screwed up....ODU can do it!
And after you take in cost of living/real estate expenses, it's probably not even much more than he's make at odu.
Not to mention the added pressure/job scrutiny.

Serenity Now isn't working. I want a coach dang it!!! That being said if this week Selig announces Enfield, Toole or another quality coach, from a school considered lower than us, as our new coach, then I will be happy as a clam. Until then I will fret that we will get stuck with some reject from another program or a bad Selig retread.
Oh and just to say, I had patience but it is now gone. Give me an answer!!!!!

Wow, that seemed a bit excessive Jump. Guys the discussion is great, but unless someone on here has Wood's ear, we don't know jack about what is or is not going on. I bleed blue, but life is too short to worry about. Keep in mind every coach Wood hires puts more of his keester in the fire.
