As Gomer Pyle would say, "surprise, surprise, surprise." I actually thought it might pass with this legislature. I really don't think they should have to do it, but that is the only way it's ever going to happen. I suspect that the legislators may have been threatened with the loss of their free tickets if they passed the bill.

One of the sports guys interviewed Jeff Long, and he said that the bill ended up just as it should have. What pissed me off more than what he said, was that Cheshire cat **** eating smile on his face when he said it.
We are paying legislators to spend time on things like that?!

As I said, I don't believe that it should have had to come to that, but it needs to happen, and that's the only way it's going to happen in this backward state. But, personally I'd rather pay them to do something like that rather than sit around and figure out ways to tax and screw the tax payers. I read somewhere that the legislature did this years ago in Alabama. Probably in other states too.
I believe the legislature in Kentucky was going to force Kentucky to play Louisville a number of years ago, and rather than wait for congress to do it, the AD's got together and made it happen.
