Is it just me, or does anybody else just want to slap Gotlieb in the face and strangle him with that stupid looking ear piece. At half time he said, that the selection committee only cares about the team you have going into the tournament. That makes no sense, what is the point of playing the entire season and putting in all that work if the committee doesnt care what you did in November, December, and January. How is that fair to Kirk, that everything he worked hard for earlier in the year doesnt mean anything. And also the players that earned those victories, are they just taken away because another player gets hurt. Theres something about Jihads hair that just looks weird now. Noticed they didnt give Huggs nearly the airtime they gave him when he was their for the Xavier game, I wonder why that is.
Yeah, who is this Gotleib person? He needs to go back to the frat house that they got him from! As far as not showing Huggs, I'm glad for him, I'm sure that was annoying at the Crosstown Shootout.

Gotlieb played point guard at Oklahoma State.
Gottlieb played at OSU. He averaged a ton of assists a game but had to be pulled at the end of every game because he shot like 40% from the FT line. I believe he played a couple of years in the pro league in Israel then came back and did radio. For some reason he is on TV now. I think he is just horrible.
Agree about Gottleib (SP?). He's harping far too much on Kirk. True, his absence afftected us right after it happened, but it's fair to say we've adjusted now. Actually Elmore said the exact same thing once the game got going again.
But, I think we're in. Look at the resume of those MVC teams sometime lmfao Anyone honestly think they'll take ALL of them before us? What about some of those marginal SEC teams (UK exception)?
As for Huggs, I don't think he really gives a rat's a$$ about his lack of air time. Strange for me to say about ESPN, but they handled this perfectly. They showed the highlights of Huggs with Hicks, and talked about it, but they did not go overboard and perpetuate a circus.
Huggs came to the Shoe to see off the final class that he coached. He hugged the players. AK gave him all the props in the world.
The team won. The players were happy. Huggs was happy. AK was happy. "The family" was reunited. It goes down as one of my finest days as a bearcat fan.
Then comes the editing of the game wrap. Bad enough of UC to do that, then the attention seeking media (Doyel, Lance, and I'm certain Furball and Willie aren't far behind) chime in to make a circus out of the whole thing. And worst of all, many fans take the bait, and make themselves miserable over the whole thing.
Well, not me. I don't care for UC cutting the Huggs reunion out, but I refuse to let it ruin all the great things about yesterday. I wouldn't think that AK, Huggs and the players did either

Im not saying that Huggs would care at all, in fact Id think just the opposite. I was just surprised ESPN didnt make as big of a deal of it as last time. He was being mobbed by reporters the whole time, and had cameras in his face the whole game.

In the enquirer this morning, it actually said that this was the 5 time hes been to a game at the shoe. Hes one sneaky dude.
