ESPN Radio 94.1 has just announced George Mason and the A10 have announced press conferences for tomorrow. Another possible CAA defection?
They should. CAA is a dead conference. The A10 has some re-building to do with a couple of defections.
Mason HAD to be next in line for the A10. Good for them, good for VCU, and good for Richmond.
CAA should fold up shop
JMU has starteding crying!!!

With VCU, ODU, and George Mason gone, maybe they can win the CAA every year. They should be glad ODU football has left the CAA, because now they have a chance to win that again, too.COGS
Washington Post reporting Mason to leave for A10 July 1. Good luck CAA. Guess they learned a lesson from ODU to just bail immediately.
Well with no football they should bail. If we had done that do you think they would have allowed our football team to stay in the conference for this last year?
Good move for Mason. Definitely a move that makes sense.
Good for them! CAA is a shell of its once self.

As a grad. student at Mason, huge move, very exciting. Peace out CAA. ODU and GMU headed to greener pastures.
JMU can still be the pride of the CAA.

That's funny, just two years ago the FB coaches were telling recruits they were going to the BE.
The GMU guys that run the CAAZone should just turn out the lights, like the CAA is going to do.

OT - By the way someone needs to tell these FGCU players, that white boys can't jump.
Right on plan. A well-connected source told me this would happen last May, and apparently was spot-on.

Congratulations to Mason. Proper move for them.

What are the chances JMU gets invited to the nBE?
Zero. JMU most likely jumps ship to the Sun Belt. There, they will find a mutually beneficial conference with similar schools, athletically speaking.

They literally waited for this moment

Depicted in the lifeboat are the Patriots of George Mason.
F.ck jmu, let them rot. They aren't out rivals, we have a huge advantage over them and should try our best to keep it that way.
Look JMU in the CUSA doesn't help ODU. When we left the CAA, did they help us...No they voted to punish 450 student athletes at ODU.

Exactly. ODU is the only CUSA school in Virginia, and I'd like it to remain that way. No to JMU, they are not on the same level as us in any way.

The arrogance of VCU fans about this move is astounding.

I'm trying to see this from their point of view. One would think that they would enjoy this, as it brings another local rival, a possible road trip, a school with fans and tradition, and a good overall basketball program. However, that would only be the case if one were to assume they had logically-inclined brains. Instead, they are acting like somebody just took an explosive crap in a gas station bathroom, and they are the poor guy who has to clean it up (they know how this is from experience).
