But not the brackets. Arkansas actually got an automatic bid. Easiest trip for RBL would be Memphis. WKU and FIU are in the field as well.
Don't see Trojans going to Memphis in first round. We already beat them once this year. How about Fayetteville?

I have no idea who we'll play. But I really doubt the WNIT committee is going to worry about whether or not we played Memphis this year. They are trying to put together a 64 team bracket in a couple of hours. If Memphis put in a bid and the seeding works out close, I think we might well go there.

Last time the WNIT put us and the ladybacks in opposite brackets. Was that a coincidence? Who knows? A UALR fan I was talking to believes Fayetteville has the power to influence the WNIT folks not to put us in their bracket. I find that hard to believe and I'm not sure they are up nights worrying about us anyway. I also believe less in the "power of Fayetteville" after watching the NIT selections last night. I really had no doubt they would get in, even though their RPI was 5 spots worse than our RPI in 2009 (when we got snubbed).
Their guidelines say rematches of regular season games shall be avoided "if possible" in the first round

I am convinced that what did the Hog men's team in with the NIT last night was the lack of road wins.

CM Newton said as much on Bo Mattingly's show last week- "One thing we look at closely is a team's record on the road". Hog fans didn't want to believe it. Either did Bo as he apparently called Newton today on his show and bitched about the hogs being left out.
