Cream has us as one of the first 4 out. and is his list is in order, he has us as the second team out of the field. There is still hope. We just need to root for no upsets today or tomorrow of teams that are locked into the field, such as Green Bay, Delaware, and Saint Josephs.

Charlotte is a bubble team as well, hopefully the selection committee see that we beat them fairly easily on a neutral court.

Also need CMU to win so that all of our losses will be to top 50 teams

Why can't the women's tournament have 68 teams, like the men? 03-banghead
CMU won today 86-68
talk about somebody taking wild guesses: he has Akron in and no mention of Central Michigan anywhere......
Prairie View A&M won its conference tournament and will play in the NCAA tourney. That plus Central's win will help. Also, Delaware won its semifinal game and needs to win in its tournament championship game tomorrow. So far, so good. Maybe the stars will align.

The million stars that needed to align for NIU to make the Orange Bowl did align, so hopefully the 10 or so stars that we need to align, do align.
#44 RPI Pacific (25-7) lost to #84 RPI Cal Poly (21-10) in the Big West Championship Game.

Hopefully that is enough to drop them out of at large discussion so it wont hurt our chances
Wichita state, who is projected as a 13 seed, squeaked one out against northern iowa in overtime...a loss probably would have taken them out of discussion and behind us, now Creighton and wsu play tomorrow for the championships, with both of them likely getting in, especially is wsu wins

Creighton is playing Ill St in the semi-final, right now. Creighton was down double digits. They are now up 5 with 13:50 to play.

hmmm, creighton is in cream's last 4 in. so we root for creighton to lose and them wsu win tomorrow?

and if creighton wins today, we should root for creighton tomorrow as well since wsu might still not be good enough for an at large
Kurt, you spelling CREME's name wrong on purpose because he's dissing the Lady Rockets????? or is it an honest mistake????????05-stirthepot

Creighton loses. So now the question is does Creighton take a potential at large away from Toledo.

Creighton loses in OT. Now the question is does Creighton take a potential at large away from Toledo. By the way St Joseph is also losing by 8 near to half time.

Nice! hopefully they fall out. they are an 11 seed which is one of the last bubble teams.

in bad news, St Joes is down by 8 to fordham at the half.
st joes is projected as a 9 seed so im assuming they are a lock.
if they lose, fordham will take away a bubble bid
Here's why I think we will get an at-large bid. (Not just hope, actually expect.) The RPI is the measure that most emphasizes strength of schedule, which is our weakness. Therefore, if we would get in based on our RPI, then we should get in.

Based strictly on RPI, we would be in. After yesterday's games, we will be 45 in the RPI. Pacific and San Diego State both lost and will drop below us. Of the forty-four teams above us, there are sixteen different conferences represented. In 13 out of the 16 cases, the winner of the conference tournament is ranked above us. The only exceptions are Missouri Valley (Creighton), Colonial (Delaware), and Horizon (Wisconsin-Green Bay). Creighton lost in its conference tournament, while Delaware and Wisconsin-Green Bay are still alive in theirs. So if 13 automatic bids are accounted for above us, that leaves 18 more below us for a total of 31. Then, other than the thirteen already counted, there are 31 other teams ahead of us in the RPI. Add the 31 automatic bids to the 31 others ahead of us in the RPI, and you get 62, which means that four additional teams will still get in. Even assuming that Green Bay and Delaware lose in their conference finals (worst case), we still make the NCAA field unless two teams with worse RPIs get in ahead of us.

That's why I think we're in.
if you look at the rockets games and teams played the results are better than the numbers. we beat teams that other bubble teams lost to. we won a lot of road games. we had no bad losses. prairie view winning their conf tourney makes that a decent win. marquette on road is solid. charlotte neutral is good. stopped 6 and 4 win ball st winning streaks. beat bg at their place, right after they destroyed dayton.

the ncaa has passed up the rockets twice in last 2 years and we have gone 10-1 in the wnit vs good teams. give us a shot.
