...than Tulsa fans at their game. Economics 101
So very sad.
Sounds like there's a decent amount of Tulsa fans there.
Not accurate ,Tulsa had a nice crowd for their game.

I hope you didn't get this from the Tulsa fan thread, I was just joking around when I said that...
Our hotel breakfast room this morning was CRAWLING with Tiger fans. Makes me proud.
The Tulsa fans were vocal last night, but their fan support is a bit of a joke. I mean, there were more people in the BoK suite than there were in the upper decks. I suspect the lower bowl will be closer to full tonight, but CUSA brass cost themselves $$$ by sucking up to the "me, too" cities and universities that were demanding a turn raking in the "tourist" dollars this event generates. I'd wager Memphis brought more fans than the rest of the teams combined, Tulsa fans withstanding. Say goodbye to this conference disdainfully, Tie-Guhz!

Note/question: Last night ecu-tu game was a 3 ball shooting extravaganza. Madness! MADNESS!!! TU will settle for the outside shot all day long. ECWho seemed addicted to it. That the way they always play?
I am in Tulsa. They wear blue too. Realistically there were about 3,000 Tulsa fans and 2,000 tigers. Tonight should be a little better with both. I'm guessing about 7-8,000 total tonight. Tomorrow, hopefully, will be only us and about 50 miners or eagles.

I commend you and other Tiger fans making the trip. 04-cheers
Not more Memphis fans than Tulsa...and they should have a good showing tonight.

We are the only significant traveling base though.
You guys have good fans that travel and most I've run into this week have been very nice.

As to low attendance, I'm really not sure why the City of Tulsa doesn't really support the University of Tulsa, we have a core of some diehard fans, but it's like pulling teeth to get the average non-TU alum sports fan to support us. Again, I'm still not sure why, but it's been that way for basketball and football even during some good runs lately (not so much in hoops bc we haven't had any good runs since 2003).

We would love to have similar support that the City of Memphis give UM here in Tulsa with the City of Tulsa and the surrounding areas.
I have a feeling that there will be a decent amount of casual fans who hear "Tulsa vs Memphis" and show up.

The fact that it's at 5:30 probably won't help drawing the average fan, but then again, neither does the 10:35 tip on Saturday.
I truly hope TU joins us in the new conference. They're one of out oldest rivals dating back to the Barrow era and before. Wasn't there a stretch in the 80's or 90's in which we were in different conferences?
