As said before, Women's BBall isn't the boards favorite topic but I think this conversation is really interesting.

Would Roller get rid of Women's basketball head coach Wanda Watkins? Our Ladies haven't been to the big dance since we had the Redick girls and we haven't been close to winning the league in a good few years.

When I was a CU, it always felt to me that Wanda was untouchable. But now with Roller, he seems more than willing to go a different direction.
I don't think she's untouchable anymore with Roller calling the shots, but they did have a 20-wins season this year. I think within the next couple of years she may "retire" anyways. She is also a couple of wins away from 500 for her career and I think Roller realizes that she has earned the chance to try to get that.
From what I've heard, since she has tenure, she can not be fired. She can be asked to step down, but she is still given the right to stay if she wants.
No tenure, but why would you fire a coach who just won 20 games?
Wanda's going nowhere, 32 seasons at the helm and you had one of your starters go down through the season in Jazmine Cooper. I believe she'll be back due to the players in place to step up. Lovette, Leverette, Edwards, James. She's still has pieces to win the Big South next year. 20 wins Especially since Liberty will be losing their top two players that they returned from last year. She'll be back, I don't know if she will be ask to step down. My bet is she'll retire first.
She's not going anywhere. This conversation isn't worth having to be honest.
I agree. Its a question thats a causes more controversy than fact. It wouldn't make a single bit of sense.
