will be interesting to see how much acc media rights deal goes up.

Wasn't there an article that estimated it at 1mm per school annually?

If you valuate it as ND giving the ACC 2.7mm more per FB game than the ACC got before and you valuate their men's hoops at 321k and their WBB at half that you can get roughly that amount per team off some simple excel math.

2.5 X 2,743,112=121,781,376. Divided 14 ways: 489,881 per school

321,429 X 27 (18 FB and 18 wbb with wbb worthhalf as much. Simpler to just plug in 18+9) = 8.6mm and 578k per 15 teams.

Combined take for existing 14: 1.068MM

Well, that's how you would do it if your commissioner was Mike Aresco. 03-nutkick

I'd say blame the ACC. They're so worried about extracting their pound of flesh from Maryland that they aren't looking to comprimise. If they had been willing to do so, everything happens this year with no issues at all.

My brother, a NC State grad, said the exact same thing. If anyone wants to point a finger at why Louisville isn't in for 2013, they should look directly to the ACC and no one else.

Wow, talk about a immature response. My brother's opinion wasn't that the ACC should have done things differently. In fact, he is all for how they are handling it. But the point was that no one, including Louisville, can blame the A12 for why Louisville isn't playing in the ACC in 2013.
Ok, so does this mean the ACC is dead or was it if ND waited, then the ACC is Dead?

Ask the WVU scout board. I think half hedged their bets either way.

Personally I think it's irrelevant to what ends up happening unless it generates 4mm per school or more. That would be a significant help in diminishing the B1G money hook which is honestly the biggest threat.

EXCUSE me, but WHICH IS IT? If he said "the exact same thing" as the guy who said "blame the ACC" then I think my response was pertinent and reasonable, don't you?
Mcmurphy last said 19m-but that was 6 mo. ago.

I saw that and I saw reports of 1mm that a UL fan showed. Hopefully the SBJ will release a more accurate report soon.
This is interesting (and weird) if true:

Although Notre Dame moves to ACC July 1, Irish remain part of Big East's bowl lineup in 2013 if they don't make BCS bowl
Why would Notre Dame move to a conference that is losing members at a press conference to be held next week? Seems odd to me.
Really doesn't matter as ND used up their champs bowl spot already.

I don't know if this is the case or not. Can't go to Russell Sports(can only take ND 1x in the 2010-13 period. So that's out. Didn't think there was any other option besides that game for the Irish. Like last year if they didn't make the BCS, they would have been a free agent if memory serves me right.
and just saw this:
@NickCarparelli: @slmandel @mcmurphyespn Notre Dame is NOT a part of the Big East's bowl line-up in 2013.

Boo ******* hoo. UL's got a $90M athletic budget. UL needs to pay up if UL wants out. I'm so sick of your bitching and moaning. UL has done A LOT to promote themselves, I'll admit, but damn get over it. The rest of us would give our first born to be in UL's situation right now.

It is not true. McMurphy is wrong:

ND used up their Champs Sports Bowl 1-in-4. Per this link the only Big East bowl they could appear in is the Pinstripe and that would be on the Big 12 side of the house.

Aresco is pathetic. Maybe he's really just going to be the C7 commish and has been working for them the whole time. That's the only way his actions would make any sense.

Money is not the issue. The issue is the ACC can't have unbalanced football divisions, and according to NCAA rules you can't play in two different conferences unless one conference doesn't offer a sport you play.

So stop YOUR bitching and moaning. I admit I complain a lot on here but all my complaints are justified.
ACC Lacrosse for one shining year. But Syracause, Duke, UNC, Maryland, UVA, and Notre Dame is one conference is overkill.
