Just measured and at my place about 15 inches and still snowing hard. So 18 inches is definitely possible.
Outside Richmond, northern chesterfield where until late last night it was going to be ALL rain, excepting wxrisk and Toleris of course, we're now sitting at about 6 inches and coming down hard. supposed to go til midnight potentially. Who knows where this ends up.
Wintergreen resort with 22" so far. I think we are now sitting around 18"
I think I will end up with about 19". Not quite 20", but pretty close.
H-burg can get a bunch of snow. My first year at JMU, we got 33" if I remember correctly - Lived off campus and drug my arse all the way in only to find out that they cancelled classes!

Around '90-91? We were off campus also in the "brand new" Old mill village. I had my old CJ7 back then and we had a freaking blast bombing around in that mess. Especially just in the Apt parking lot. It was over break and the lot mainly empty.

Buuuut, yea, that wouldn't work if you were going to class, so must be another whopper of a storm, just remember that one being in the 2 1/2 feet range also.

A few years earlier '83 - I lived in those townhouses along Rt 11 behind the elementary school . We used to walk along the RR tracks to get to class . Maybe it's a once a decade thing! Was that the year we made it to NCAA and played that stacked UNC team in the first round?
I think the 'burg has about 6" right now. Kind of funny how it is spring and we are getting significant snow totals. The range of snow the area is suppose to get is quite vast and depends on elevation. Called for anywhere between 4"-12" depending on the elevation and location.
It is April 4th and it is sleeting here in Harrisonburg.
