This is from an article about postseason options for Old Dominion last spring-

ODU has applied to host, Selig said. The 24-team CIT's fee is $30,000 per game. The 16-team CBI requires $35,000 for a first-round game, $50,000 for second-round game, and $75,000 for the semifinals.

I'm pretty sure visiting teams do not pay to play. The CIT fee is certainly not unreasonable. We would have to sell 2000 tickets at $15 each to break even. I doubt we could take that risk, unless a sponsor steps up to cover any losses we may accrue. I'd be fine with a road game to play an extra game or two this season.
I think Chris will find the money if we need to but I bet we go on the road.

I am packed, let's go.

I have no reason to believe Chris would accept an invite based on history. I really don't understand why not. Arkansas will likely get an accept an NIT bid. What would be wrong with us accepting a CIT bid. The NIT to a BCS school, is basically equivalent to the CIT to a midmajor like us. Our kids would be excited to go to postseason and that's the most important issue to me.
I think everyone has over thought the other post season invites.

The graber team was not invited anywhere

The 23 win team probably was but that team had blown up and was sr heavy. No need to send them anywhere.

Last year, we probably got an invite but will was hurt.

This year we have a lot to play for with the young guys and we can build off of it. Please see SLU example.

I will be going somewhere this year to watch la tech or SLU unless ualr takes a bid.
As young as UALR is, two or three more weeks of practice would be worth the money.
I think so too.
Do you honestly think we would get an invite with 17 wins?
Ull did last year
ULL won 16 games last year and were 2-6 down the stretch.

If we get our 18th win Saturday, I think we have a reasonable shot at going to the CIT. I really don't know all the ins and outs, but apparently quite a few teams turn down the CBI and CIT. I don't think an SEC team has gone to the CBI (CIT is basically for midmajors). So if we want to go and do a little lobbying we probably get in.
