I see UT put up ticket prices for the 2013 football season.
http://www.utrockets.com/ViewArticle.dbm...=205603818

--Ultimate Fan Plan goes up to $65 (from $59). The Fan Plan is already a great deal, so I was expecting it to go up. Especially if we keep winning, they should raise the price around $5 for a few years. I find it hard to believe that UT isn't losing money on the Fan Plans.

--Individual tickets are now $25 ($12.50 for kids) for E Wash, EMU, WMU, Buffalo, & $35 ($17.50 for kids) for Navy and NIU. I believe individual tickets were $24 ($34) the past few years, so they’ve gone up $1.

--Looks like the normal season ticket prices have gone up a couple bucks (I don’t remember what the previous prices were).
The best thing that all of us could do for the program is to set some sort of goal. If we can afford it, buy say two extra season tickets and bring people that like to have fun and get them hooked on Rocket sports. I told my sister that I'm going to buy her and her husband season tickets this year. I brought them with me to the Cincy game and they loved it. This is one way that we could all have an impact (if we can afford it of course).
I think $35 for a 8pm game on 11/20 is dumb.

Have to agree with that.

They obviously dont expect cheeks in the seats (which it should be regardless of date and day of week) with it being on TV so might as well charge it like the premium game it is. If it shouldnt be $35 then what should it be?

Then why not $55?

IMO, it SHOULD be a price that puts cheeks in the seats. We apparently don't think $35 is it. I imagine that have some formula for it. Wonder what it is?

Yes. $35 to go to an 8pm game, in (most likely) freezing temperatures, and - another thanks to E$PN - the game most likely won't get over until after midnight.

But it is pretty stupid (I'm not trying to be mean by saying that) to buy individual game tickets. There are other great options available:
-the Rocket Flex Plan. You get 12 ticket vouchers for $170 ($14.17/ticket). You can only use a max of 2 vouchers for the Navy and NIU games. But for all the other games you can use as many vouchers per game (so you can take 12 people to 1 game; 6 people to 2 games; etc.).
-the Family Plan. $85 for each season ticket (also $14.17/ticket).
-and then the Fan Plan that everyone knows about.

It isn't the date, it's the opponent. Union poop scoopers don't come cheap. You can't just let that lay there 'til Spring!

+2
If the game is televised you discount tickets to fill the stadium and show the National audience that Toledo has a fan base which helps for recruiting.
Making alittle more money at the expense of diehards is a myopic strategy.

There is no national audience really. Look at the ratings for conference games: http://www.sportsmediawatch.com/2012/12/...is-season/

Toledo didn't even draw a half share last season.

Also, the money the MAC gets for this current ESPN contract is reportedly low. Around $100,000 per team, per year. Even the WAC teams are making more each year ($400,000).

So they have to make some money somewhere to offset that pathetic payout and the hits they take on Fan Plans.

YES! Website cost is a tiny drop in the bucket when you have a restaurant and it can be an invaluable form of advertising. They should have had one before the restaurant opened and the fact that they don't have one over a month after the opening is inexcusable.

Well then I charge $15 to get in. If it were a weekend game I could see charging more, but I think they should charge less for mid week ESPN games at the end of the year. Unless Toledo is playing Michigan or Ohio State at the end of the season, the general public is not going to show up anyway.
When will they post pricing info for the Florida game?
IMO, if the fan plan pricing went up to 75-80 dollars, fairly affordable for most ... Late November midweek games aside, Toledo football is still the best ticket in town...

Good point 557 000 National audience is rather low.
The MAC needs to negotiate a better Television deal.
Seems like Toledo is losing hundreds of thousands with these week games.
