They're extending O'Leary two more years! It's like they want us to hate our own university.
Honestly, I think that this was the best move UCF could make. By extending O'Leary, that ensures that recruits for the next few years feel secure in our coaching situation.

Additionally, despite all of the negatives everyone heaps on him, he is by and large the best coach we've ever had. He coached us to our first bowl games, our first bowl wins, and, most importantly, set us heading in the right direction for future success. By that last statement, I mean that we're in a conference with an ESPN TV contract, we have amazing facilities, and our recruiting efforts get better each year.

And I fully admit: Coach O'Leary is not the best coach to ever walk the Earth; no way, no how. However, he's certainly not the worst (see: Skip Holtz). Plus, we don't have a lot of money to spend on coaches' salaries so we try to get the best with our means. Someday, we will be able to afford a Nick Saban or (wishful thinking) a Bobby Bowden. But until then, we just have to appreciate what O'Leary has done for us and that he has done so at a (relatively) cheap price.
