Future Lady Trojan Robinson and her team won the 5A (largest classification in Texas) championship. This is their second in a row. The commentator said they set a state record for most games won in a season, which they finished 42-0. They also finished the season on a 72 game winning streak. Robinson finished with 10 points and 7 rebounds. Yesterday in her semifinal game she had 7 blocks. I'm guessing she had about 4 blocks tonight.

Duncanville have two juniors that are definitely D1. I hope we are recruiting them. One of the juniors has been nominated as a Gatorade Player. She is real good and alot of schools are after her from what the commentator was saying.

If you have Fox Sports Southwest you probably can catch a rerun of the game.
Great
LRAlum; Last year I was lucky to catch Duncanville and Morgan Boltons replay of the championship game twice on FoxSportsChannel. I remember it was late at night. If you learn when this year's game is re-played would you let us know. Would like to see Robinson' game. Looking at today's TV Guide in the paper, looks like it possibly, might be Monday at 10:30 PM and Wed. at 10:00 on Comcast. If you learn anything more specific, would appreciate letting us know.
Dollarbill those dates and times are correct.
Just set my recorder to get that tonight. Thanks
I did the same last night. Looking forward to seeing this young lady play. Can you believe Duncanville has won something like 72 straight games. That's awesome. Pretty hard to believe. Might be a little recruiting going on, don't you think!
I learned some interested things about Duncanville when I was keeping up with Bolton last season. Duncanville's longest win streak is 134 wins, which is a Texas state record. From what I have been told, Duncanville area has a strong youth girls basketball program. As you may know, football is king in Texas so in order for alot of areas to have strong high school football programs most towns will only have one high school that probably could support 2 or 3 high schools. In Duncanville's case this benefits their girls basketball program since they are getting all the girls that are from Duncanville and surrounding areas. Their student body is over 4,000 and their campus looks like a junior college. I think their campus is the second largest in the US. Their girl's program has won 8 state championships (including this season). And their overall athletic program is one of the best in the nation. Their football, boy's basketball, and baseball programs are good too.

That is totally unbelievable isn't it? 134 wins with a loss. That's about 4.4 years without losing if they averaged 30 games a year. Very few high school teams ever see one undefeated season.
