Saw this on the news Tue morning. Comical to hear some busybody from Chi public schools explaining how parents just don't know what's going on.

Standard progressive approach: create a problem, follow up w/ a solution to make things worse.
in order to have an excuse for indoctrination, you must first manufacture a problem.
Disgusting!!!

The kids in my daughters class were talking about boys marrying boys at lunch. Thankfully one of the teachers, when asked, told them to talk to their parents about it.

This is getting out of hand, there is no reason on earth to worry a 5yo about sex, none at all... Once you get beyond *don't let people touch you here* you should be good until 10years old and then you still don't need to provide much in the way of details.

And the CPS is screwing even this simple order up

Quote:Mandated sex-ed for Chicago kindergartners will include instruction about male and female anatomy and reproduction.

It’s not clear exactly how much detail five- and six-year-olds will be taught concerning the more sophisticated uses of their genitals.

By the time students get to third and fourth grade, the focus will include appropriate and inappropriate touching, as well as puberty and HIV/AIDS
It's good to know that by the time the kids turn 5 they've mastered math, science, and history and now have time for this crap.

It may be the only subject the teachers have any knowledge of.
If it reduces the criminal population of Chicago, then it was worth it.

This theory did a great disservice to teen pregnancy rates in the past. Thank $deity you are not in education or public health.

You continue to be wrong, on everything. Do you try, or is that natural?
We have no effective government. Social pariahs take advantage of even our children. Time for the people to take control of the things we need done and stop having faith in government to do that.

LOL... yea more details will keep teens from screwing... Because the more I knew about sex the less I wanted to do it as a teen.... 01-wingedeagle

You do realize I said "not that much in the way of details" is needed for *10* year olds. I also objected to the fact that inappropriate touching is not being taught to five year olds, which is the right friggen time to entrech those boundaries in their heads.

No we teach them about the wonders of their genitals before they are remotely close to caring... Its the wrong order to teach that in..
Wonder next if these so called teachers will hand out old copies of "Playboy" magazine for five year olds to take home and use for homework. The term Liberal is being taken far beyond the extremes.

Maybe free abortions can be next.

How does every other nation survive without doing the crap we say is necessary?

Honestly...America is the most tightassed nation on earth in regard to sex. We like to claim we are liberal..but..the opposite is true. Most places are far more open than us and these subjects are not a big deal. We are our own worst enemy sometimes. In my home I was very open with my child and discussed sex openly and honestly. I never had any problem with this issue in my home. I always felt that this was as much health issue as sex issue and treated it as such. Unfortunately...There are a chitload of households that this issue is NEVER breached either because of fear or lack of even having a parent competent to do it. It is sad that schools even have to consider this in the first place. WTF happened to families talking to their kids? WTF happened to families?
Schools aren't taking parent's sovereignty over their kids away.

Parents are giving it away.

Yes...If there are even parents in the first place. The family has become extinct in the homes of the ones that these programs are designed to address. Until that changes? I don't know what else to do. The information has to get to these kids somehow. It damn sure is not happening at home.
