Good to get a win in the last game in "Old" Moody Coliseum, and it is fitting that it comes against the team that we have played more than any other team.

Good game by the Owls; despite being severely depleted, they never gave up.
yea hope we get a trophy

How long are renovations going to take? A week?

UTEP plays at SMU next Saturday. You're probably mistaken.

At some point, even with the effort, the 5-22 record is unacceptable. I just don't get the apathetic nature of our fans towards Braun and giving him a pass. A lot of these same fans were breathing down Bailiff's neck, but are ok with Braun going 54-100 in 5 years.

That's what I thought. One more game to go.
I believe they are playing at an off campus venue for that game. Thought I heard it last week during our game with them
Yup, next week's game is going to be played at an arena in Garland. I'm expecting an even biggger Miner home-court advantage than usual...

If you go to SMU next Saturday, you'll miss the UTEP-SMU game. That game will be played at the Curtis Culwell Center

Because John Wooden wouldn't get 10 wins with this team. You don't fire a good, proven winning coach because of an anomalistic situation. All that would happen is we'd probably end up with a worse coach.

Braun's record was 48-78 prior to this year and you think we'd end up with a worse coach? Rice hasn't sniffed the NCAA or NIT tourney. I don't see how we'd do worse. And it doesn't matter how the situation arose, Braun HIRED the assistant, ACCEPTED those players and it didn't work out. Take some responsibility. So this year is 5-25, next year 10-20, the next year 12-18, and FINALLY 15-15. That's what he did the first four years.

He was handed a bare cupboard and built it into a solid team last year, and I believe we would have at least made the NIT this year if everyone had stayed. We've got some young talent now and while it will take some time to build us back up again, I believe Braun can do that. I just don't understand what firing him would accomplish; it does matter how the situation arose. Your progression might very will be accurate...but it wouldn't be any different with any other coach and would likely be worse.
Just to confuse the issue: UTEP-SMU WILL be the last game at Moody before renovations begin. The UTEP-SMU women's game this Sunday!

After our loss to Tulane tonight we have to beat you
Did UTEP approve moving our home game to another arena?

We've lost three players (two of them starters) to injury, and another was dismissed for the old "violation of team rules." So don't worry. You will.
