Their reasoning on ASU is suspect. We are willing to pay around $1 million and it has become a job for up an coming coaches to advance their careers. How is that not atttractive to a coach? The ability to retain the coach is our issue, not a coach's.

I think the whole list is suspect.

Looks like the major conference schools get a bump. My initial assumption was that its because of the pay. But then pay doesn't seem to count for some other schools on the list.

Memphis is 88 and UL is 110. I think you'd have to be an idiot to take the job as Memphis football coach over UL. The reason given for Memphis is "Big East"...I guess that and failure is better than back-to-back bowl wins and great fan support.

But then Middle is 103 and the reason is "decent location" and "no fan support". So now location is important? Memphis has a terrible location AND no fan support and they are 88.

Not impressed with the effort.
I'll have to agree this list is not great. This is what it says for South Alabama:

121. South Alabama
Jaguars will have to start stealing some recruits from in-state Sun Belt rival Troy.

That is ALL they say! We already win recruiting battles against Troy. The author isn't well informed about non-AQ league teams, so he shouldn't even try.

Wyoming is 89. Why? What is it about the Wyoming job that makes it more appealing to a coach than:

LaTech, stAte, UNLV, WKU, ULL, UTSA, TXST, Marshall, etc.

What makes Indiana better than ECU? Is it that Big 10 Conference Co-Championship in 1967? Is it the bowl win against Baylor in '91? Is it the warm weather?

Well, maybe a few...but we didn't want those guys anyway. 03-lmfao

Hope y'all don't beat each other up to bad.
Odd to see WKU so far down.

It's because it's an odd list.
That is definitely not the order I thought they would be in...

The state of Wyoming has Jackson Hole going for it. Indiana is a B1G member. That's enough.
I still contend that Arkansas State of the top jobs in the nation. We are willing to pay a coach $1 million, we go overboard with marketing our coach's name, if you win here you go to an SEC job and if you lose we wait 8 or 9 years to let you go and we invite you as a guest to our bowl game two years later because you recruited many of the players.

Seriously, how many midmajors have sent their head coach straight to 2 AQ jobs in the last five year, much less 2 in the SEC?

Come to Jonesboro and we will name a frozen custard after you!
