Get ready. That is all you will hear from the college basketball media and fans from other schools. The only way that goes away is a run in the Dance. Otherwise, the label remains stamped on this team and on Josh Pastner. This loss was devastating for both national perceptions of the team as well as seeding in the Dance. There is no other way to look at it.
Does this mean the USC chain wont end with Pastner heading to Arizona?

Just a bad turn of events.
At least we won't have to hear Pastner to USC, UCLA, etc anymore.
At least one win in the NCAA's will be a big step. Given that we will probably drop to a 8-10 seed, our chances of pulling this off are greatly diminished.

Yep exactly. Get ready for 3 weeks of BS until the NCAA Tourney. I wish I could transfer in a time machine to the Tournament and bypass the next few weeks. At least it was bearable with the 18 game winning streak.
The good news is, when this God-awful streak breaks, it gonna break big. I hope it's this year in the tournament. If not, then next year. It's an emotional more than mental problem at this point. We just have to get that first one - meaning the first one that counts (nationally).

At this point, we have to hope the Selection Committee really hates us and gives us an 11 or 12 seed. I would much rather be that than an 8/9.
Good thing the field will suck this year, and we know our guys are actually pretty good. Maybe this takes the pressure off, and they make a run as a 10 or 11 seed. Those could be real good seeds to make a run this year.

I think we are fine.
luckily I don't really care about the media.
Well, there's not a lot we can do about it.

We can either win at least one game in the dance and finally earn national respect, or we can lose and face ridicule. I think that's what is all boils down to this year.
Yep. Good comeback but only points up even more we didn't come ready to compete.
And I thought this was a thread about Indiana......

Hate to say it but its true.
When did we become the program that just hopes to win one NCAA game? Geez, the bar has unquestionably been lowered.

Hate to break it to everyone but winning ONE game won't earn much respect.

I wondered how long it would take for the initial Indiana rationalization...

As it should be. We do not deserve anything other.

We're now 4 years post-Calipari.

Let's just win a single game in the tournament and get that monkey off our back.
