Ok with it winding down, I know our chances to get into the main tourney lie in winning the conference tournement. For the sake of the other chances saying we win out or only lose 1 game in the 5 left. What are our chances for the NIT or that other one whatever it's called? What are our possible post season scenarios?

I missed seeing the FN watch this year 03-weeping
No real chance of postseason past the conference tourney. We are 12-14 with 5 games left. The best we can probably hope for is to finish 4-1 (I think 3-2 is much more likely) for a 16-15 record. Even if we win a couple in the conference tourney that puts us at 18-16
18-16 may get a CBI sniff and that is about it. This might be a rare occasion that if they do give an invite we take it. Lord knows if we do it should be our first and last ever CBI invite.

That said I just want us to finish over .500. Next year we should expect no less than a top NIT seed at worst. I''m afraid we are another recruiting class from seeing the NCAAs.
None, just build for next year.
Outside of winning the CUSA tournament, I don't see any post-season play for UAB this year.
No postseason this year, but next year both Haase and McGee make the postseason.
I am thinking if we will need to get a first day bye if we have a shot at winning CUSA (because we only have seven players who play).

If we don't get a first round bye, the sixth seed is best, because it matches us up against Rice in the first game, and we will be in the opposite bracket from Memphis (assuming they win 1st seed).
I count the C-USA Tournament as postseason play, and I like our chances this year since we don't have Mike Davis' habit of never winning anything in the postseason ever to worry about.
We won a CUSA tourney game last year.
Which I believe brought his career total to one.

Two, though the first should be listed under "Paul Delaney III."

For the Men: They'll have to win out and at least get to the Conference Finals to have a shot at the big dance or NIT.

For the Ladies: Worthy of at least a WNIT bid, but must at least get to the Conference Finals, win or lose, to achieve that.

No chance for the big dance. Zero. None. It's win the conference tournament or bust for that. As far as the NIT goes, winning out to the Conference Finals would be interesting at least, but I don't think it'd do it. That would put us at 19-15, assuming we would have a bye if we won out. Have to wait until next year for postseason play.
The only way we get an NIT bid is winning the regular season, which I think it is mathematically still possible provided we win out and Memphis loses out. Then I think we would get an auto bid to the NIT. An at large is out of the question. If we win out and Memphis loses out, then we are both 10-6. And I don't think that is happening.
I also miss the FN bubble watch. Maybe he can be coaxed into a smaller version discussing current and future C-USA teams: Memphis, Southern Miss, Charlotte and MTSU.
I say we just win out and win the whole damn thing. Every time we win a game we peel an piece of paper covering a naked photo of the Dubba Twins. When we win the National Championship we peel the last piece of paper off. Oh and screw Jay Bilas.
Well I'd be happy w/ a win out as that means we finally got the MD Mem monkey off & that would give us a top 20 win to boot. I do hope we play well in the conference tourney & get at least a couple of wins there. I'm thinking like Matt that were're 2-3 wins left out of what we have left so our best chance for post season play would be to win the conference tourney & I don't think we could do that w/ the short roster playing rotation right now as they'd be too tired after a couple of games.
The "Memphis monkey" predates mike Davis. We have never had much success against them. I quit caring about ever beating them about 3 or 4 losses ago.

Do we now have a Haase Eastt Carolina monkey. Or a Southern Miss Monkey?

wouldn't we get more practice time? I might be ignorant on the practice rules if you do not make an off season tournament, sorry.
