one to go. Nice job ladies.
See in the box score that Gault didn't play but four minutes and was 0-3 with zero points. I think Merriex played two minutes and was 0-1 and didn't score. Gault won't be here next year. Write it down.

4 of the starters played 37 minutes or more. No one off the bench played double figure minutes.

Interesting situation with Gault. After last season thought she might challenge Chas for best player ever at UALR. Now who knows if she will even be part of the team next year. Hopefully, she will come around quickly. We need her if we want to win the tourney.
What in the world is going on with that young lady?

Not knowing anything, but just guessing, because that's what you have to do to be a Trojan fan, because they sure aren't going to keep the fans informed about anything. I believe that there is more to it than the fact that Gault doesn't play defense up to Foley's standard. There has to be an attitude problem, or a locker room problem of some kind. Sometimes a coach has to do things that he'd rather not do. It's tough to get rid of your best player. I'd hate to lose her, but I believe Foley will get her attention or she'll be 88 and out the gate. No doubt Foley is one of those "my way or the highway" coaches, and you sure as hell can't argue with his record. I just hope it works out as well as it did with Chastity.
She is so talented. It would be a shame to see her go, and I have no reason to believe that she won't be here next year, but if her minutes last night indicate anything, it would be that her future here is in jeopardy. When you see a star player riding the bench, it normally indicates the coach is sending a message to either put up or shut up. Taylor is probably the most talented young player to come through here, but if there are problems involving team chemistry, sometimes you have to cut a player loose. I'm not suggesting she is a locker room problem, but there is definitely something going on. LRTrojan has noticed this from the beginning of the season. I have to think he's been on to something from the get go.

I think he sent a clear message- We can beat the first place team in the West, at their place, without you. We'd love for you to do what you need to to be part of this team, but if you don't want to...
I'm expecting her to have another of her good scoring nights off the bench against MT Saturday.

That would be a great time to break out. I think she must be very hard headed if it's taken this long to get Foley's message. I hope I'm wrong, but I still have my doubts that she's going to be here next year, and if we have to go through this crap all the time, I don't want her here under those conditions. I'm tired of primadonna players.

Guys, if you remember what I said last year is that you guys took a chance on a player that no other school wanted to touch but it looked like she had settled into UALR and was going to do the things to make her a nice career. Chances are that she has reverted back to some of her old ways. I don't know anything first hand about what's going on with her but it's possible that's what happened.
I don't know who or who didn't want to sign her, but Coach Foley said North Carolina State wanted her very badly, but she wanted to stay closer to home. Whatever the reason, she's a very talented young lady, and if she can just play up to her ability and forget everything else, she'll be allright.
