Looks as though we won't be wearing all green in the future. I was reading that the NCAA tucked a new rule in that you must wear contrasting colors to the field. So I guess we'll be back to wearing gold/white pants w/ green home jerseys. It may not effect us as bad since our green was a little darker than Boise ST blue was to their field or Baylor or some of the others
Don't you just love how, in a heartbeat, the NCAA can "fix" something in the name of fairness...that is, except when it comes to fairplay in deciding the champion of the whole thing?

Isn't it just awesome how they look out for the integrity of the game in that way?
It's not a rule, yet.

It's BS, by the way.

You just used "integrity" and "NCAA" in the same sentence. 04-jawdrop

Well, same paragraph. That's still too close.
These are currently proposals. They must still be reviewed and approved by the Playing Rules Oversight Panel which meets on March 6.

That being said, I didn't like the all green look anyhow, reminded me too much of Tulane.
Does this mean no white jerseys for snow games?
They need to put a rule in that says you can't make fools of your players by dressing them in some of the stuff Oregon and Maryland has done.

It's okay though...I used the blue font
All this is moot if we switch to gold turf.

I vote no on the gold turf.

Legion Field catches enough hell without suddenly resembling an un-flushed toilet.

As opposed to the moldy toilet it looks like now?
The difference is most fields are green.
I know; I was being terribly facetious.
Gotcha. 04-cheers
While we're at it, why not make the floor in Bartow out of stainless steel (Birmingham is an old steel town afterall) or paint it blood red to signify the hospital's awesome cardiac prowess. We could paint the soccer field with black and white checkered patterns to make the ball impossible to see.

Sigh.

Football is played on grass or a cosmetically similar artificial substitute. Just pass a rule that a football field has to be a hue that closely approximates the color of natural actively growing turf. Done.

I hate the colored fields. They are gimmicky. Unchecked, teams looking to out gimmick the rest will eventually start lighting up the field similar to the Beyonce halftime show and giving old people seizures.

And you used a dark blue which means it was more sarcastic than if you used light blue
