One thing that frustrated me all game, was watching illegal screen after illegal screen on UofL. I have never seen a team get away with more hand checks and illegal screens. Their bigger guys stick knees out, elbows, lean and move on screens the whole game and it is never ever called. AK is right about not having the coaching resume to get close calls. Just wondering if anyone else noticed the screens.

Oh yeah - I noticed.

You know going in when UC plays Louisville their hands are going to be all over the Bearcat guards, yet the officials continue to allow them to do it.
Pallacios would have fouled out by half if the Refs were calling moving screens.

The officials had a rough game- Both teams had questionable calls go against them.
How about Dean pushing off of Jihad. The ref finally stepped in and had words with him, but right after that Dean blatently pushed off of Jihad as if to show he could get away with it. No call. What a joke.
Murph..
Notice can't stand it....anyone have an idea of whether average Joe citizen can write the NCAA about officiating and rule enforcement?
The problem is, moving screens are never called. I watch games and it is flat out amazing that usually nobody is ever set when setting a pick. I have no idea why the officials do not call it especially when it clearly gives an "advantage" to the offense. I have talked with refs who constantly refer to the "advantage-disadvantage" principle, and moving screens fit right in.
I watched the game again the other night and the screens looked as bad on tv as they did from my seats. That sickly looking kid for UofL Millard or Mallard several times literally took two steps laterally and stuck out his elbow as the defender went by. But in watching the tape, Padgett is by far the worst hack on that team. There is one play in the second half when Hicks has position and goes up for a rebound and you see Padgett two hand shove him all the way out of bounds with Higgins standing right there. He should have fouled out with 10 to go.
