Ohio up early on BG in The Convo.
Buffalo has been up 6-8 points on NIU most of the second half at Alumni.
Akron trying to mount a comeback at Miami on what must be Charlie Coles Throwback Day.
Other games later.
Akron escapes again and Buffalo holds off NIU. BG staying tough at Ohio.
Got a little chippy in Athens! No handshake line, a BG assistant had to be pulled away. Interesting.

How could it get "chippy" when CMU isn't even playing? Rimshot
official attendance for Ohio/BG announced at 10,846.

Very nice! Wish MAC office was smart enough to have put the Akron game in Athens on a Saturday. Still should get 8,500+ though.
Toledo wins 60-52. 6 in a row now for the Rockets
Broncos clanked one today in Muncie. 03-banghead

...and Miami barely cracked 1,800. We know how to pack 'em in at Millett.

Fortunately ESPNU did a nice job of not showing any empty seats. at least from what I saw watching the game, they did a nice job of showcasing a good MAC game nationally.

I went to ESPN 360 and watched a bit of the recording, and you're right. Our seating is fairly condensed because of the upper deck tarps, so it didn't look too bad, though it's still pretty bad when Toledo's women's team average outdraws us at least 2:1. Hopefully Cooper will improve the team and Sayler can cook up some promotions, it seems like he's really into getting more butts in the seats.

Two of them were Ben Roethlisberger and Ron Harper, though.

Ohio fans:

What is your average attendance for this year? It amazes me that you guys can get that many to attend your games in the middle of nowhere when in a metro area the size of Toledo, we get 4200. Hopefully with a full squad next year, there will be more excitement and we'll be bringing in better crowds in T Town.
toledo has had solid fairly vocal, by toledo standards, crowds at mens games lately. meanwhile, its no suprise toledo's women outdraw most mac men's programs; great teams, iconic coach, great community outreach, cheap tickets, nice arena, good performances in big home games, etc... a good women's game is just as exciting as a good men's game. i didn't used to believe that, but after going to some i realized how much fun it is.
I would say 4200 is good all things considering

Well, because in the middle of nowhere, a sporting event at the university is pretty much the only thing they have to do.
Actually, it's because we have a large, passionate fan base that will drive into Athens for a game! The majority of our fans will drive an hour or more to support the Cats!
