I was talking to a buddy of mine last night, and we were trying to remember the last Tiger to get tossed.

By the way, this buddy was the fan who got tossed a few years ago, anyone remember that?

^The Rice game, for player's tossed, is the correct answer, but seeing Carol LaRocca get tossed was funny. She told #15 from TSU to "choke on his mouthpiece"..... Gotta give Memphis fans some luv.

Ben and Clarence got tossed out in Hattiesburg a couple of years ago.

"With 56 seconds left in the first half, Spiva clawed Metro Conference superstar Clarence Weatherspoon as he went up for a shot. Weatherspoon was displeased and charged Spiva. Spiva punched him in the face. Both were ejected, leaving the Golden Eagles without Weatherspoon, their best player and a future NBA regular. We lost Spiva, but we'd have made that trade any day. Weatherspoon's absence helped the Tigers come back in the second half and make it a close game."

The best thing about was even though his wife was kicked out, Mr. LaRocca stayed and watched the game.
Yeah, shouldn't have been that hard to remember. Our guys tend to have each other's backs and not back down from folks. That can definitely lead to ejections.

Ben Spiva...I loved the energy that guy brought! Couldn't play, but he would foul on demand!

Haha! Always did like Ben. 6' 7" 240 lbs, and he knew what to do with it -- for someone completely bereft of talent, that is =]

I think his nickname was "Come On Ben" by the rest of the Tigers. I remember them saying that a lot as they were walking to their spots on the blocks for free throws after Ben announced his presence on the court.
Fred Horton still gets the Ejection of all time Award. Grab a chair and make the local po-po grab for their weapons.
