Good stuff.
Last I heard No.
Greg Franklin?
Yep. Kids change their mind like the weather around here but that was the last I heard.
He doesn't fit well in this new system honestly. He went from planning on being the starter in Callaway's spread to riding the bench in Mcgee's I form.

I hope he finishes up his degree and has a successful life after college. Best of luck to him. It is merely a product of change and unfortunate circumstances. It would be nice to see him stay with the team and support his teammates but if he feels like he would be better off just not practicing and preparing for the rest of his life I personally won't blame him.
This is from Drew's article:

Quote:Howard was the Birmingham News North/East Player of the Year and joins a backfield tandem of Darrin Reaves (junior), Bashr Coles (sophomore) and Greg Franklin (senior).

Yeah, the selfish part of me wishes he would try CB since he had SEC offers instead of transfer but Greg has to do whats best for him great kid great family.

IIRC he's a senior. He could transfer, sit out a year and then play his senior season but that is a lot of work for one more year of football.
He might fit as a return guy doing duty as a 3rd down pass receiver out of the backfield or out wide in a mismatch situation but there won't be much playing time involved.
Since Franklin is a rising senior, it would seem to make some sense for him to hold off a final decision until after spring practice and see how his situation looks then. He can always transfer during the summer to a school where he could play without sitting out and I'm sure the staff would help him find a new school if that was his decision.

"Tandem" would seem to be the key word here.
