that Skip Prosser has always maintained that he don't discuss job offers, yet so many people have claimed to stumble across the back alley dealing he is supposedly doing with UC.

It's funny to me that people are saying it's done and some are even quoting the contract. lmfao

I just wonder how come these people never know whats going on at UC? I mean at least the last 3 years UC has had a player not eligible but no one knows that until the first scrimmage tip when they are not dressed.

I been around long enough to spot BS but for the lurkers who just want info, they are being fed a bunch of crap. It's the same people who say a school like UK is afraid of UC even though they play teams like UNC and Duke on a yearly basis.

I can't say skip won't be the next coach but I feel part of the reason Huggs is out is because Nancy wants to be the face of UC, not the basketball team or it's coach. Getting skip who is a very good coach and more universally liked then huggs would defeat the purpose of her vision. I'm sure she would love to have a statue erected of her on the campus. Her only demand would that it be bigger then Oscar's.

The rumors I have posted......I never said I believed them......in fact, I said don't shoot the messenger, they're just strong rumors.

But alot of people are pointing to Skip Prosser including some in the media.

I hope it's not true. I am not anti-Skip.........but if we've gone this far.........we might as well see who's interested in the job. We might be surprised. And I will be upset if this administration lies to us again and the day after the season, they have a media conference announcing Skip as the next coach. I won't be mad at Skip...........I'll be at the fact they said they were going to see this thing through and exhaust all possible candidates before making a decision. So if they quickly hire Skip........I will believe the deal WAS DONE already. If it takes a month or month and a half, I will be inclined to believe they did a thorough search.

Bob Huggins claims he never talks about job offers yet every year we found out about the NBA talks and the West Virginia talks so I don't know what your point is.

yeah i agree with you catsclaw . . . i simply post rumors that close, trusting people have told me. i dont claim them as the truth, they are simply rumors. isnt that what discussion boards are for - to discuss different rumors and give opinions on current situations. i see where you are coming from and in a perfect, honest world there would be no contract talks while the season was carrying on. but i think there have been too many rumors and stories for something not to be going on. something is happening, otherwise we wouldnt be hearing about it day in and day out, even from the national media.

Those of us who pay attention know he has entertained other offers. Hell. You claimed UC hired Tim Floyd while Huggs was talking with WVU.
and about the NBA jobs, read his book.

All coaches entertain other jobs. 90% of the time it is just done to gain leverage. Pitino is a master at it.

I can agree that it's good business to weigh your options, but, "rumor" had it that Larry Brown was a done deal for Cleveland.

Everything thing Tom, Dick, and Harpo pull out there a$s and call a rumor should not be takin seriously.
