It looks like the team has adopted the "Row the boat" slogan. I noticed several football players at the basketball game wearing shirts with RTB on the front and the Bronco logo with crossed oars on the sleeve. The shirt also had a shark, a runner and an ear of corn on it - I have no idea what all of that means.
Even some other sports athletes are embracing it. Multiple basketball players have tweeted the slogan...

Coach Fleck went to Kaneland HS out near DeKalb. Corn country.
Tampa Bay, his best known previous stop has seen it's share of sharks.
The money the FB brings in will help reinstate mens track and cross country at WMU. I have the inside scoop.
Coach fleck has these 3 or 4 metaphors he's using. One is about being a friendly neighbor farmer. One is about rowing a boat. One has to do with the aquatic food chain I believe.
and the runner is something to do with prefontaine
I didn't understand the orange and black color of the shirts.

Saw fleck during the game 3 times pretending to "row a boat"...
If this football thing doesn't work out he would make an excellent coxswain.

I hope he doesn't cross the sanity line while he's our HC. 01-wingedeagle
It means "Our slogan 'RTB' is so corny, we've jumped the shark" (runner actually a long jumper).

Still thinks he's a Huskie...
Ok with me if he brings some of that hungry dog thing along. Running dog thing works for me too. Rabid dog. Junkyard dog. Lots of angles there.
Just not a 9-point home dog
I'm not too wild about the row the boat and all these new slogans that have nothing in common, or to do with, WMU, Bronco's, and anything Western. Rather "Grab the reins" than "row the boat".

I get the enthusiasm and use of slogans. But keep it Western. This “row the boat” just reminds me of how consultants and senior business managers would start a new slogan and initiative in the business world. Just about every year there would be a new one - also commonly known as, “flavor of the month”. Most times it never really changed anything, or had a significant impact.

Blashill and Murray certainly didn’t need to make up slogans to get the hockey team on track!
And let's not forget the last line of Row Your Boat. "... life is but a dream."
Maybe our band should blast out RRRYB when we get a first down?
Imagining the entire student side rowing in unison. That would be very cool.
