Last game, I predicted that UAB would lose to UTEP, and with ten minutes to play against them, they were ten points behind, and with a minute or two to go, they were down by three or four, and it was amazing that they tied the game in regulation and outscored UTEP in overtime to win.
This evening, against USM, I also predict that UAB is going to lose to a team with a 17 wins and only 4 losses, is 6-0 in conference play, and is on an 8 game winning streak. I mean, geez! This game is a tougher challenge than UTEP, and UAB beat UTEP by the skin of their teeth.
The best advice for our UAB Team I can think of is for them to make very few bad passes or fumbles over the course of the entire game, and, instead, pass the ball very well to create high percentage shots, and as for defense, force USM into as many turnovers as possible and force them to take low percentage shots, and also, crash the boards(be very active, as a team, rebounding) on both ends of the court, and finally, keep super intense, yet organized pressure on the opponents for every second of forty minutes.
"I don't think our UAB team can sustain that intense, mistake free, level of play for forty minutes".
Prove me wrong!
