The man in the video is Tom Dotterer, who's known around Syracuse, N.Y., as the 77-year-old baseball coach at Christian Brothers Academy and the longtime owner of Salina Liquors and Wine. He gained additional notoriety last week when he was shot in the face during a robbery. He's going to lose his right eye, but he popped into the store on Monday and even returned to work on Tuesday. Since then, Dotterer has become even more famous for what he says at the 1:20 mark of the video above, which he insists was "the worst thing that happened to me all week." This man is what makes America great.
