The last two UAB-UTEP games at Bartow (2010, 2011) produced 5 overtimes, 120 free throws, 97 fouls, two technicals and one broken nose.

Wish I could be there tonight.

NONE. Blazers finally take care of business in regulation.
That double OT loss to UTEP in Mike Davis's 4th year when we were ranked in the top 25 briefly was intense. Probably the 2nd or 3 most intense games I've been to at Bartow, besides when Memphis was #1 and #3 (Mike Anderson's last year). That loss was the beginning of a slide downward that year..
That Houston game where that Mckiver guy went nuts and Penders almost died on the court was pretty intense too.
AJ broke his nose in that UTEP game I believe.
I ran into Randy Cullpepper on the way out of Bartow after that triple OT game. I told him, "Please take this as the compliment it's intended, but I don't ever want to see you again."

He just laughed and said thanks.

When their last shot bounced off the rim, I thought, "That bastard finally missed."

Culpepper was a great player. In the Double OT game I mentioned, he made some incredible moves that just outright embarrassed his defender. There was one play on a fast break where he went 3 on 1, stupid I know. But he crossed one guy over, then spun off the next defender, and went up and hit a reverse, falling down layup on the other side of the rim on the 3rd defender. Incredible. That UTEP team had a lot of talent. I know Derrick Caracter (spelling?) was ******* crazy, but I was super impressed with his talent level. He's one of the best big men, if not the best, I've seen play live against UAB. He and Coop going at it all night was fun to watch.
That game where McKiver scored 40+ was the game where AJ hit the game winner right?

And the game where Penders faked a seizure/fainting spell was in Mike Anderson's last year right?

I'm pretty sure they were separate games..

Yes, they were. Fake heart attack was 2006 with Mike Anderson. 101-99 AJ win was 2008.

And randy Culpepper and Cam Moore are now the two best players on the same Ukranian team.
That's right, I had those confused. Both were great games, but that one with Mckiver was especially crazy.
Don't test my blazer swag blazers, you'll get burned. If you can't Stand the heat, get out of the dragons belly.
None.

UTEP is 10-3 in their last 13 games. Those 3 losses were by a grand total of 10 points. They have a solid team, this season. UTEPs remaining 4 losses were early in the season, a loss at Arizona and 3 losses to Oklahoma, Clemson, and Vanderbilt in Orlando on a neutral court in a tournament of sorts.

I don't expect UAB to go into overtime, or win, tonight. UTEP is big and strong, nine or ten deep, and have several talented upperclassmen, as well as very talented underclassmen.

I just think the Blazers are going to be outmanned and out experienced, so to speak.

I suspect UAB will lose by....7 or more points.

We have a winner!
Lol.
Hey, I will sacrifice losing the prediction for winning the game in the 1st overtime any day.

04-cheers
Luckily for Penders there was a cardiologist at the game who used the courtside defibrillator to bring him back to life at midcourt after he flatlined.
