With the recent notoriety and fame of Marshall Henderson at Ole Miss, I have heard a lot of comparisons on radio and TV of his game to his coach, Andy Kennedy's game. It's been said several times (Kennedy may have said it) that Kennedy was quite the trash talker in college as well and that their games were similar. I don't remember Kennedy being a trash talking, jersey popper like Henderson. For one thing, since he played with Jack Kramer, he probably couldn't get any trash talking in.

Am I remembering wrong?

It is good to see Kennedy succeed finally at ole Miss. They are playing Kentucky at home right now.
I came after AK, but I remember hearing he had a mouth on him, for whatever that's worth.
Kennedy needs to rein this Henderson kid in a bit. Henderson is emotionally out of control.
You are correct. Kramer was the one talking smack all the time. He might have been the all time trash talker at UAB. (Jack)
I remember similar to you MB. Jack Kramer's mouth never stopped, endearing him greatly to ODU and WKU fans alike.

I don't know. It has gotten Ole Miss a lot of publicity, not all bad. He is selling tickets at a place that has never cared about basketball.
I believe the Auburn fans are more out of control, but that may just be me.
Brandon Tobias talked quite a bit. Earnest Little's mouth kept him in trouble with the other team and the coaches. AJ was a great trash talker. But I think you are right about Kramer. He ooozed cockyness 24/7 and dished it out for free. Which ever one of the Matta brothers sat at the end of Gene's bench thought himself to be a god among us mere mortals playing pick up ball in Bell gym. If he had ever seen floor time I'm sure he would have taken the title.

And, I saw the end of the UF trouncing of MSU, and the announcers kept discussing Ole Miss in the same terms as UF as both being in their own class apart from the rest of the SEC. That's a pretty big leap from years past. So, agree with MB- they are certainly getting their mention and airtime however it's being attained.
Hilarious Gif and blog. I spent 15 minutes studying it

Man. Quite a detailed analysis of the situation.
Sort of reminds me of our mempis debacle... Except nobody was slapped...

Kramer's, um, unfortunate slur at the end of the South Alabama game got us the win when the USA guy punched him.

One of my favorite UAB moments was Brandon Tobias jawing with some opposing player and the ref stepped in and said, "Not one word. Not one more word." So Tobias slapped one hand over his mouth and gave the guy the finger with the other.

I don't recall Kennedy ever talking on the court; he instantly backpedaled after a shot because otherwise he was too slow to stick around and pop his jersey.
I never saw Andy trash-talk. As Brother 58-56 said, Kennedy was too busy backpedaling after the shot to take time to do that.

Kramer, however, was a different story. He once embarrassed Alan Ogg on live television, and caused Mike Raita to panic on air, with a statement about the size of Ogg's ***** when asked by Raita what impressed him most about Alan.
Good times.
hands?

That is hilarious. That interview would have gone "viral" if happened today.
