I find myself rooting for KY tonight. These ole miss fans have become unbearable.
I've been watching basketball for a number of decades. Heck, I was even a referee for a long time. I know better, but I sure wish there was some way they could both lose.
I want them to absolutely bury OM tonight. I'm over the whole anti-kentucky thing. When our crowd cheered because our cheer squad beat out UK I was embarrassed.
Like I said in a earlier thread I am hoping for an asteroid tonight. But I will be cheering for Kentucky. The black bears need to come back to reality
I've been marinating on this topic today. Since both teams can not lose, I would rather see kentucky lose. There is a chance, be it slight, that they can actually not make the NCAA. I would love to see that happen.

The black bears will come back to reality soon enough anyway.

I was too.

It bought into the whole self loathing apologetic nonsense, and the PA announcer stressed that.

Pretty bad.

It was about Memphis. We won. Enough said. Especially cheer-leading.
Would anything be better than UK NOT making the tourney? Get ya head right, man. Who cares if Ole Miss basketball has ONE good year. UK is still public enemy #1...c'mon man!
Why? Why are they public enemy number 1? Because they hired our former coach away? Does any other school in the country act like we do with the current place of employment of a former coach?
Because he is really a black bear fan. Says he is a black bear football fan and Memphis bball fan.

When the coach in question leaves in the manner which he did, yes, they do/would. I'm glad your above/beyond/over that, but not everyone else is.
Oh, and go Black Bears - if only for tonight!

But this complete hatred of all things UK is embarrassing. Were you at the game this past Saturday? They announce that our coed cheer squad won the national championship to fairly light cheers. PA guy then says they beat out UK and the place went nuts. Freakin cheerleading! Nothing whatsoever to do with Calipari. It's ridiculous and makes us look really small-time.

You feel that it makes you look small time. Rivalries/competitiveness against other schools is bad? Are you new to the college sports scene?

And if this behavior bothers you so badly, go peruse catspause. They have their share of looney toons as well.

Look, part of the beauty of college sports is that you DON'T have to "get over" things. You don't have to let stuff slide. You can despise the villain forever and cheer that one play into eternity.

I'd be embarrassed if folks didn't care...

Where in the world did you get the idea that we are rivals with UK?

Plenty.
Ask an LSU fan about Nick Saban sometime.
(They made anti-saban tshirts for crying out loud)
Some goes w/ Florida and Darth Visor.

Think. Then post.

It was a legitimate question.
I just hate them because they are arrogant, hillbilly morons. Do I need another reason?
