Enjoyed a bit of nostalgia today. One of my sons killed a large buck this past deer season. Or as the Game & Fish folks prefer to call it "he harvested" a large buck, had it prepared and entered in the competition for the largest rack. He was close but didn't win. All this out at old Barton Coliseum where I had not been since the Trojans left there. Lots of fond memories looking around. Seats are still Maroon & White. I was in what used to be dressing rooms. Very small and outdated. Still, To me Trojan Ball has not been the same since Barton. And, if something terrible happened and Trojans had to go back, I would be there.

I wouldn't admit this to anyone, but I miss the Barton days as well. So much more camaraderie among the fans who could socialize and get free baloney sandwhichs before each game at the Farm and Ranch Building. My kids, along with PTJR and Ynocpirt's kids, would spend half the game running around the arena but they always had fun. Of course, I can't admit this since I spent years bitching about Barton and pleading for a new arena.
Kudos to UNT athletic adminstration. In the concourse they had an area where kids could play and run around with a bounce house. That's good to have during halftimes and between games. I notice alot of arenas are starting to have these type of features, which is a good way to get the families to the games. They was also doing a promotion that any kid with a sports jersey could attend the game free and they had a family plan that you get 4 tickets, 4 hot dogs, 4 drinks, and I think one large popcorn for $40.

South Carolina has a similar deal- 4 tickets, 4 hot dogs, 4 drinks, and 4 popcorns for $44 dollars. If an SEC team can do it, so can we.
